We the southwest chicken panini and it was awesome! They had a pretty large wine selection for being such a small place. I had what i think was called Spring Garden, it was a cocktail made with Hendricks Gin and fresh muddled strawberries and basil, it was delish.

I brought twelve colleagues to this quirky and eclectic restaurant as part of a conference we were attending. First of all, it is a short walk from the convention center, so that was lovely. Secondly, they took our order in advance so we were able to eat and get back to the conference in plenty of time. For my part, I had a fig and prosciutto pannini that was outstanding and I recommend the iced tea, a Carly's blend. The place is fun and the service was great.

We went to Carly's on Wednesday April 15. It was NOT busy and were seated right away. We were greated shortly by our server who was very personable and friendly. We discused the beer and dinner menu and ordered our driinks - mistake #1. I ordered the Chimay and the server then told us that it was 8%. I let him know I was driving and asked the percentage of the Lowenbrau. He thought it was 4% so I ordered that instead. He arrived back at the table with Chimay for me and my daughter and Lowebrau for my wife. I accepted it without comment and ordered the Carly Q beef sandwich on the server's recommendation. My daughter ordered the prosciutto and my wife ordered the vegitarian soup and my wife ordered the Europa also vegitarian.

Having been showered with prompt service in other restaurants on our most recent visit to Phoenix, I began to feel like I was being played when our meals did not arrive. Finally, the meals arrived and my daughter ordered another beer(as planned by the restauranteur). My daughter was happy with the prosciutto and my wife liked the soup but was disappointed with the sandwich as it was missing advertised ingredients and dressing. My sandwich was terrible. It was tasteless and contained a piece of beef as tough as the proverbial shoe leather. The waiter did not return to ask how the meal was until it was over. At that point I showed him the inedible beef and half eaten sandwich. He muttered something about the Q in Carly Q must stand for Question. He offered none of a replacement, an apology or a discount. Needless to say, I will never return.

Is this a restaurant in trouble? It should be.

We went last night and waited about 30 minutes for a table. The limited bar seats/standing room made it impossible to wait inside, which left us outside in the 105 degree heat. Once we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our server, but then waited 15 minutes for our water. The "large" size Duo Hummus appetizer platter is enough for one person, two at most. The service was painfully slow, and when our dishes came, they were inaccurate. Fixing them proved to be too much for the kitchen, so we ate what we were served. The food was edible, but nothing noteworthy. In short, be ready to add salt and pepper to your dish, and ask for the check as soon as you order. You might get it by the time you're finished eating....
