Had lunch here by myself and it was great. Sat at the bar and had their chicken burger with sweet potato fries. Definitely recommend.

We had wanted to try the Meritage after reading some great reviews and were motivated to make the hour drive after a great multi course dinner for two Groupon was posted ($69 per couple for pre dinner drink, appetizer, entree with side and dessert) . We bought two of the deals and invited some friends along.

The restaurant was extremely busy due to a convention at the hotel. We had reservations and were surprisingly seated right on time! Hostess explained to our server about our Groupon (which had restrictions) and we were treated like full paying customers. Our server explained that we could alter the Groupon and customize it for our meal, going outside the stated guidelines...what a treat!

The French Onion soup and Corn Crab Fritters were some of the best we have ever eaten...tasty and well presented. We ordered steak, Halibut and chicken. All the meats were done to perfection and at the right temperature. The twice baked potatoes melted in your mouth and were extremely flavorful, not always the case at a lot of steakhouses. If you enjoy raspberries, then you absolutely need to order the Seven Layer Chocolate Cake. Rich and just the right amount of fruit to tickle your taste buds.

Service was impeccable. We never once needed to get the attention of wait staff.

Our Groupon deal for four was $138 ($276 value). We added some wine, upgraded one meal to a better cut of beef and added two salads. This brought total actual menu cost to $306 before gratuity (and we did tip on the $306, not on the Groupon rate).

This would be a wonderful restaurant to take that someone special or to celebrate a special moment. While there were folks dressed casually, we would recommend resort wear to blend with the ambience of the decor and service.

The service was extremely slow and the menu limited. We gave up one day and walked over to the Blue Sage in the lobby of the hotel -- a much better experience and value. The Blue Sage gave us the same 25% discount after golf.

I love the seafood tower and oysters on the half shell. The service is fabulous and the food delicious. One of my favorite places.

My 7 year old daughter and I went to Meritage for dinner, and even though we were the only diners in the restaurant that early, we got a vibe from the staff that we were not their preferred type of table. The service was slow and almost begrudged. I ordered a smoked prime rib medium well, and it arrived medium rare and bleeding after a 35 minute wait. Another 15 minutes, and the same steak returned cooked medium well with no apologies. I was not offered any of the compound butters which are supposed to come with the steaks, which was disappointing. By the time I remembered that (from previously dining here), the waitress was AWOL. There is nothing interesting or amazing on the menu, but it is solid and classic steakhouse fare. Just be sure that you like things exactly as listed on the menu, because the people who work there are not going to try to customize anything for you or be interested in making you happy.
