“Perfect steaks, kind of noisy atmosphere”
Reviewed May 12, 2012

As one would expect, the steaks at the Meritage Steakhouse were prepared perfectly. However, our favorite part of the meal was the Seafood Tower for Two appetizer, a huge spread of lobster tails, oysters, mussels, shrimp and crab legs. We'll go back again just for that sometime soon!.

The restaurant is next to the golf course, so the atmosphere is very casual and a bit too noisy for a romantic dinner.

Nice staff, delicious food, the place is within a hotel but does not taste or feel like a hotel restaurant. This is the type of restaurant where the locals come for a special night out and meal. Well done.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed May 5, 2012 via mobile

My wife and I had a really good lunch at this Marriott resort restaurant. We had an excellent server, wonderful house salad and French onion soup that was some of best I've had. I would return

Expensive in the way of a steakhouse. We got steaks and veggies to share. The steak comes in the middle of a plate looking lonely. Veggies in separate dishes which of course makes it easy to share. Veggies were OK. I suppose this is traditional steakhouse fare - no bells whistles or experiments. The cocktails were killer. Blue cheese wedge salad was a nice surprise with its lettuce served chopped. Rhubarb strawberry with some kind of topping tasted as bad as it looked. Others at the table loved the banana cream pie.

This restaurant can be pricey. Go early and order from the Prix Fixe menu and you won't spend as much. The food is great as is the service. It's adjacent to the J.W. Marriott in Desert Ridge. Nice atmosphere. The Manager stopped at our table and asked about our dinner. We always appreciate that attention.
