“Pricy but Tasty”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Enjoyed the watermelon and parma, the unique sandwiches, and the ambience. Slightly pricy but good quality for what you get.

“Had a lovely dinner !”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

On the way home from Prescott, we stopped at the JW Marriott for 2 nights, so that we could visit with our dear friends who live in Cave Creek. We had planned to invite them to dinner at the hotel, and as soon as we checked in, I went around to check what restaurants were where. As the lobby is being remodeled, I am not sure what eating establishments are open now. Anyway, saw "Tuscany", looked at the menu (very nice), and went downstairs to check out the room.
Everything seemed in order, so decided to make reservations. The hostess told me that only one table for four was available at 7:30, and that was the very first one in the center upon entering the restaurant. Did not like that table, and asked her if I could look around. She came with me, and I saw these two very nice tables (for two people) in a very private area. I asked her if those two could be combined into a table for four. She asked the manager, got his or her approval, and everything was set.
We had such a nice dinner with wonderful food (Italian), wine (Italian) and service (gracious and pleasant). Our table could not have been better.
Very much enjoyed our evening here.

“Must have been an off-night for us”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Probably would have never visited the Tuscany except that the other hotel restaurants were closed during the lobby reconstruction. Restaurant decor was very nice. When the weather cools off, looks like the outside seating would be worth another try.
We were with three generations during dinner, so we had a full range of menu selections, from little kids to grandparents and us in-between.
The kids ordered the mac-n-cheese, and all universally dislike it. We tried it to see what was wrong and it was amazingly bland! 'wood' fired pizza tasted like it had been sitting for a while and everyone else's food just missed the mark. Nothing was so bad that we would have sent it back, but the food was sadly, unremarkable.
Maybe next time we visit, we will have better luck.

“Best happy hour ever!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We were amazed at the quality & size of the portions of the appetizers at happy hour for $5 each! We almost didn't have room for dinner! Our server/bartender, Clint, was fantastic! We stayed at the Desert Ridge for 3 days, so we went to happy hour twice and dinner once. First the happy hour, the salami plate had cheese, salami and 3 condiments. They were stone ground mustard, olives and pesto. The also gave you a plate of toasted bread! We also had meatballs, amazing, as well as a marguerite pizza! For dinner we had great salads then lobster ravioli, rotisserie chicken pizza with peppadew peppers & Tuscan rib cap. All were great except the rib cap, kinda tough. Deserts fantastic too! I can't wait to go back!
