Nothing bad to say with my stay here. Management was very friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms and short walk downtown. They offer free Internet and shuttles to and from the airport. They offer free coffee and fruit in the mornings and will allow you to delay check out if you're not packed by check out time at 11.

Was here during conference and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the city centre. The staff were nice, the room was good, the neighbourhood wasn't the best (but OK during the day), the prize was good. All in all it was good value for money: not a lot of money for an average hotel.

My expectations were exceeded at this moderately priced property. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. Comparable to rooms at more expensive hotels. The owner and staff were very gracious and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again!

This little place has the exterior of a motel, but the interior of an inn. The rooms have recently undergone renovation with new furniture, including beds, flatscreen television, armoire, desk and refrigerator. The wifi connection was a little spotty, the carpets were slightly stained, but the room was clean overall Nd the bathroom was well-maintained.
The hotel is well situated on a major street (Van Buren) and is a 10min walk away from the heart of downtown and ASU. Finally, this inn offers one of the least expensive nightly rates, which makes it affordable for travelers on a budget. I would definitely stay at ABVI again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Phoenix.

I regularly, if not frequently, stay in motels on business trips, and I never expect much: a reasonably clean room and bathroom, some breakfast (or a coffee maker in the room), some quiet at night, and working wifi (included in the price). At ABVI Downtown Phoenix I could tick of the "clean" part (at least in the bathroom; the carpet and the pillows were a bit suspicious), and the wifi, which worked very well.

Their website seriously oversells the place: my "renovated" room does show some sign of recent updates, but it's still a smelly, dingy room with an unnecessarily good TV. Again, I wouldn't expect much for the price (for a "proper" hotel I'd give 0 stars for this "quality"), but if you are going by their website, you'll be surprised. It's better to set your expectations with the price in mind.

The "free breakfast" is a joke: you can pick up some packaged pastries and some bad coffee and orange juice at the front desk, and take it to go, or back to your room. It's only good so you don't go looking for breakfast on an empty stomach. There's no place immediately around to have breakfast.

The "service" was off-putting, and I didn't expect much. I start with the good part: the airport shuttle is fast and efficient, they could accommodate me even though my plane arrived quite a bit late. The bad: the window in my room was cracked diagonally across, but it wasn't fixed because "it was the weekend". (Seriously?) It must have been a very long weekend, too, in Phoenix, because the window wasn't fixed on Monday or Tuesday either. I was told I could not get another room, yet the next day they had the "vacancy" sign on. Well, maybe just a mistake, I didn't bother asking.

Sleep quality: the main issue (besides the pillows that need change) is the AC: you can't possibly sleep with that on. Fortunately for me, it was cold enough outside at night. Otherwise, it's at a completely deserted part of town (it's quite scary, actually, after dark), so no noise from outside.

So, it wasn't too bad, but I regret not spending a bit more and staying closer to downtown. I wasn't even going to write a review, but the owner has asked so many times (both at checkout and then in multiple automated emails -- which I consider spamming: how do they know I haven't already left a review?!), that I thought, what the hell.

There, you have it.

Room Tip: All the same, probably. If anything, go with the ones facing the street, and not the parking lot.

The hotel is very cheap, but has everything I need. Clean, and good breakfast. The two-bed room is spacious, and one-bed room layout is very reasonable, for example, the bathroom door is not opening towards the bed.

Location is good, close to downtown. Free wifi. Overall, I really enjoy staying in this Inn.

We stayed here 2 nights and were very pleased with the spacious and clean room. This inn is placed on a walking distance to the business district of Phoenix. Although the inn is offering a breakfast, you should expect a few muffins a coffee and some juice. However not many other inns can compete to this low low price.
