“Best service of any hotel I've stayed at. Ever.”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

The place is clean and nicely furnished and done. Better than most places we have stayed at. But what really makes the place shine is Jessica and Sam, the managers of the place. They're genuinely friendly and helpful. It even feels like they genuinely like their jobs and their customers which is unusual and makes all the difference in the world.

Don't judge this hotel by the surrounding area. This hotel is a very nice surprise when you look at the value. I chose this hotel over many others in the are because of the reviews. The rooms were excellent and the staff was excellent. The hotel is very close to I-10 which was very nice since I was there to see spring training baseball. The only negative at this hotel is the noise level from the road, but that was easily solved by turning on the AC. I would definitely stay at this hotel and recommend it.

When driving to the hotel, I was a tiny bit worried. It's a couple blocks west of the tall buildings in Phoenix, in an area that's a little rundown. Not dangerous at all, just "older"

The staff was really nice, and helpful. The rooms were really nice, and the beds were really comfortable.

Only negatives: parking spots are tight and no pool.

Everything else was great, don't be scared driving up to the place, it really is a great place to stay in Phoenix.

The location is perfect. You can get to any part of the metro area within 30/40 minutes and downtown proper in a ten minute walk. We were there for Spring Training and it worked out GREAT. Jessica & Sam went out of their way to help with whatever we needed. The room was VERY CLEAN and comfortable. This was our third time staying at this location and will stay there whenever we are in the Phoenix area.

The hotel has everything a traveller might need for a very reasonable price.
Was very satisfied with my stay. Breakfast has the minimum assortment.
The bigger problem - cleanliness of a carpet. don't take your shoes off.

The room was spacious and comfortable and much less expensive than downtown hotels a few blocks away. The rate includes breakfast, free wifi, and free shuttle ride to the airport (requires a reservation). It is about a 10-minute walk away from the Convention Center and nearby sites such as the science museum and heritage park.

I have to admit that I was a bit worried about what I would find when I arrived in Phoenix and the America's Best Value Inn, but I was genuinely surprised. The room was very comfortable, and I was happily surprised to find a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom/shower area was in decent shape, with the tub showing the most wear throughout the entire room, but still in decent shape. The lighting was good. Wireless internet was free, fast, and easy to connect to. The staff was also very helpful getting me in to my room as I arrived very early (before noon), and were helpful in helping me navigate the downtown area and supplying suggestions for food options. I will definitely stay with ABVI the next time I have to stay near downtown PHX for business!

Room Tip: I would suggest asking for a room on the second floor.
