“Absolutely Outstanding - A Well Kept Secret”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

This hotel was an absolute gem. My husband and I are seasoned travelers and very discerning. You couldn't imagine a hotel as clean, comfortable, and upscale as this, that was as peaceful and friendly - and so well priced. It is a pretty building with the Southwestern charm and the interior decor is likewise. The pool was gorgeous, clean to a fault, and quiet - affording great privacy. The hotel is situated in a most charming shopping area with excellent restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant at the back of the hotel called Bianco's and also Trader Joes which is a very interesting supermarket with delicious low-priced wine and chocolate bars. The hotel staff were the best we have ever encountered in years of personal and business travel. No request was too much, even to putting a fridge in our room to store wine and milk, and providing stacks of extra towels. We will definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor with a mountain view overlooking the pool

Happy Holidays from the Phoenix Camelback Courtyard by Marriott,

We thank you for the feedback you've shared regarding our hotel's products and services here in the Phoenix area. Our goal is to make each visit for our guests as productive as possible while eliminating all of the worries that come with travel.

The Town & Country Center that we are located within are working diligently to complete all phases of their renovation. It will surely be a great destination for shopping once completed.

I will share your comments with our staff. If we can ever be of any assistance to you with hotel travel plans within the Phoenix market, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. Thank you again and thank you for choosing Marriott.

Although from the outside this hotel does not look anything out of the ordinary (its located in a strip mall) inside lies a world of practical comfort!. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are large, recently refurbished and spotlessly clean. Given its location, this hotel was surprisingly quiet and provided and excellent base for our travels around the Phoenix area. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel!

Not a bad hotel. Walk in the front door and it's got that typical Courtyard Look with included "Bistro" restaurant. So you know what you're getting into... The staff was really nice and talkative and makes you feel welcome. Layout of the property is pretty standard Courtyard...unfortunately I drew the room at the far back end of the hotel - it wasn't bad, just all the way at the back.

Room was standard double queen room...with a small bathroom, but liveable. The only real problem I had with the room was the volume button on the remote didn't work. No problem..there are controls on the side of the TV. I had no refrigerator, nor microwave in my room - that seemed a little strange, so I was forced to go to the "Bistro". I don't mind the "Bistro" except its way to expensive for the quality/quantity of such a captive audience...I'm not just saying here but at ALL Courtyards. I really wish they would fix this....

With regards to coffee...yes they have it in the room. It would be nice if they'd give you 2 each regular and decaf...1 cup of coffee in the morning typically isn't enough and having a cup of regular, then decaf is...well...not a good thing.

So..overall typical Courtyard...you know what you're going to get...

Room Tip: Inside rooms facing the pool area are quiet...

Stayed here for a weekend trip.Location was fantastic for my needs. Only 6 miles from Scottsdate, not far from the 17. Restaurant everywhere. In the middle of a shoppinig center, but that can be useful. Would recommend. Very comfortable rooms, great outdoor sitting area by pool. Free coffee in the mornings.

Great business trip in town for a conference at the Arizona Biltmore. Very clean room and very clean property, staff was outstanding, very friendly. Loved the Starbucks. If you don't mind walking about 10 minutes, it is an easy walk to the mall (and Cheesecake factory!). Bed was perfect, wi-fi was reliable. No problems whatsoever at this property. I can sometimes be picky because I have worked in the hospitality industry for the last 10 years. This hotel exceeded my expectations, would definately recommend this hotel and definately stay here again if I return to the area. Wine in their market was a little pricey, walk 5 minutes to the Trader Joe's instead. My only issue was that they did not have an airport or area shuttle (which was strange because they had a van with their name on it in their parking lot).

Greetings from the Phoenix Camelback Courtyard by Marriott. I trust that this finds you in best of spirits and health. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our hotel and it's services in relations to a recent visit you experienced with us. Our goal is to provide a great hotel experience for all of our guests and I'm thrilled that we were able to meet your needs.

I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to provide personal feedback on our hotel. We understand how valuable time is for us these days and we can not thank you enough for taking the time to share a few words on your experience. I do apologize that there may have been some confusion to the shuttle services as you mentioned. We currently do not provide airport shuttle services with our hotel and I can see how this could raise a question. We will continue to monitor this request and determine if it is indeed something we should consider.
