“Very nice stay, no complaints”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

I stayed there for one night and was impressed by the staff and room quality. The property definitely has an 80's feel to it with all the rooms in a giant atrium-like setup. The staff was very friendly and efficient at both the front desk and the breakfast buffet. The rooms are huge with a separate room with a desk, couch and TV and large bathroom. Everything was clean, though a bit dated in the room. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay there again.

Thought not confirmed, this hotel looks very much like a former Embassy Suites. The lobby is huge and inviting. Our service was friendly, but given the location and quality of the hotel, we were surprised at no valet or bellhop options – especially given that you must park in the adjoining garage. This wasn’t especially a problem for us, but I’m sure many would prefer to have this option.
Our suite was spacious and comfortable. No spectacular views, but the balcony was also nice. While the area was nice, we stayed on a Saturday evening and did not see any foot traffic around the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was adequate and the serving staff very professional. But unless you have free breakfast coupons, I would recommend trying other breakfast options in the area for a similar or lower price.
If we had it to do over again, we would probably select a hotel in the “real” downtown about a mile south of this location.

It is obvious this hotel is an open floor plan with no safety considerations for young children; it was obvious I checked in with toddlers, yet, I was assigned a top floor. I took clorox wipes and lysol, as I always do to Hilton Hotels. It was obviously dirty, as I wiped the furniture, filthy-filthy phone, above doorways, door knobs and light fixtures, headboard, dirty refrigerator and other dusty and dirty (including others' fingerprints) electronics and fixtures. The food was less than satisfactory. We left to find a restaraunt when we get a hint from the empty table and chairs not to eat at this restaraunt. Of importance, the driver we had throughout the weekend receives an extremely satisfied rating from me, as well as one of the Hotel front desk personnel; both were more mature and courteous than the older staff.

Couldn't ask for a better stay. Was staying there 3 nights while hosting friends in town! Everything was great to the rooms ( 2 queen beds, and a pullout couch in the main area), to the awesome shuttle service that they provide complimentary to bars and attractions downtown. The light rail is right there to easy on and easy off. The front desk staff went above and beyond and was so kind and generous! We did breakfast on sunday morning for easter and it was delightful-- Eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancake, french toast, meat and cheese bar, fruit bar, and pastry bar, and coffee and juice included only $12.00 ***Amazing food** and great wait staff!!! This hotel gets a 10.

Room Tip: There isnt a bad room. Nice view of downtown and Light rail and phoenix mts

During our visit, our credit card was charged twice. When contacted the hotel front desk, we were told to handle the matter through the credit card company. Although probably a standard procedure, to me, it seemed like poor customer service since it appears that the hotel is taking no responsibility for the double charge at all. Passing the buck is easy and re-establishing our trust in the brand is apparently not a priority for Hilton Phoenix Suites.

I’m sorry for your inconvenience; there seems to be a misunderstanding, this is not how we normally handle billing disputes. If you can contact me directly I’d be happy to look into this and resolve expeditiously.
Thank you,

Awesome lobby, open atrium design is great. The public transit is right outside. Nice pools, gift shop, bar and restaurant. I travel for work and Hilton always knows how to treat their guests. The glass elevators overlooking the atrium was a nice plus for me.

I got in very late and the airlines had lost my luggage. The staff took very good care of me and did everything they could to make me comfortable. the rooms seemed a little dated and worn. The shower was very dark due to the lighting in the bathroom.
