Room was very comfortable. Staff in housekeeping attentive. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Driver Joseph very accomodating and helpful. Pool area comfortable and relaxing. Would definetely stay here again, and recommend it to our friends. The attached Rodehouse Restaurant was superior. Great staff, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Price very reasonable. Highly recommend the restaurant too.

Room Tip: Pool area is close to Highway, so rooms farther away should be quieter. our room was very quiet and...

Lobby was nice, but the rest was old and worn. The initial first greeting at the desk didn't go well, and left a very bad impression. The dinner in the lounge was ok only, service terrible. The only good thing was the free shuttle ride to the airport by a very courteous fellow.

No complaints at all about this hotel. It is conveniently located near the airport, the rooms are spatious and breakfast was more than ok. Add this to the more than reasonable price and you have enough arguments to make your booking. Enjoy.

This hotel is a good dollar bargin for an overnight stay between flight connections. The free shuttle service is reliable and the staff is helpful especially for older travelers! There is no elevator to the second floor and no food services for late arriving guests.

We stayed at this hotel October 25th-26th, 2013. We flew in from the east coast for our daughter's graduation on the 26th from Grand Canyon Uniiversity. (Things were hectic prior to leaving, and we had not made hotel reservations. My husband called from the airport in Dallas late Thursday night. The reservation was made promptly and we were picked up by the hotel shuttle quickly upon landing around 1 a.m. Friday morning.) The hotel is beautiful, very clean, all staff extremely friendly and professional.
We have stayed at Best Western in several states and have NEVER been disappointed. Most hotels have the continental breakfast "in house". They offered light fare from 3-6 a.m. After that, connected to the hotel is a restaurant, excellent food and staff!!!!
The shuttle driver was very professional and helpful. He gave my husband a ride to the car rental place in the morning to pick up a car for our stay. (I am sure not all hotels would do this).
The people of Phoenix and surrounding areas were very friendly and just added to the already sunny days (a graduation and a trip to the Grand Canyon which there are no words to describe!). The hotel is only a couple of miles from the airport, would definitely stay again.
Would also like to mention we visited the Fiesta Mall in the afternoon to shop and eat. Again, very nice, great store and food selection. (We sampled food from different restaurants in the Food Court. Everything was priced decent and well worth the money). We ate food from the Panda Express, Charleys Subs, and a 50s style diner spot on the corner called the "Classic Grille". A Big Shout Out to the employees of the grille for their friendliness and mouth watering burgers! I had the "BBQ BaconBurger" which was to die for. Freshly made with bacon, onion rings all in one, loved it, loved it! (I am a chef and am very particular about the food I eat. Exceptional food does not have to cost $50 , this cost $6.50! I would eat there again just for this burger. Hats off to the cook and a smile right back at you to Donovan our server! Keep up the great service! )
The ONLY negative would be towards the car rental company. We normally rent from Enterprise or Avis. My husband decided to try Dollar Car Rental. He rented the car for 2 days, but was told if he returned it early, the bill would be "prorated", and he would get a "refund". They LIED, it never happened. And on top of it, the TAX for the rental was a ripoff, over $150! (He was told that is because the car rental place is so close to the airport, its a "tourist charge", really??????) The tax cost more than the car rental. Of course, they know you are trying to catch a flight, so they hold you hostage. They should tell people up front, if you rent, here's what the charges will be. (When we visit again, we won't rent from them or probably any other car rental place there. I am sure I can come up with another car rental place further away from airport. I would still save a TON of $ even if I have to take a taxi to get to the place further away. I just wanted to make sure people visiting know this in ADVANCE so you can make other arrangements. The city is beautiful, but that part really was such a huge negative to such a great visit. Phoenix needs to rethink this tax SERIOUSLY.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor. Swimming pool right outside the door. The second floor rooms have balco...
