Owner description: AZ hummer Tours is an off-road adventure company that provides a personalized, entertaining and educational tour of the beautiful Sonoran Desert. We have two different tour vehicles available: The Hummer, where you will ride as a passenger throughout your excursion, and the amazingly agile Polaris Ranger RZR4 which seats four people very comfortably and you get to drive for a hands-on, wind in your face experience. Both tours you will be with a very experienced guide that will teach about the flora and fauna as well as history of the area. Hopefully they won't get lost...

We all had a great time! The weather was spectacular and our guide, Brandon, was both knowledgable and passionate about the desert and all its beauty!

“Sonoran Desert should be seen from a hummer!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

We took our tour with guide, Charlie, who combined humor with a great, practical and respectful knowledge of the desert and all its mysteries. From Charlie, we learned which plants may be used as deodorant, which may be eaten, how to tenderize and preserve meat in a cactus; where to find gold (milky quartz) and the dangers in the desert including lack of water and an over abundance of water (flash floods) and how and why people have to be rescued each year. The desert is stunningly beautiful which cannot be captured in a photo. The weather was very warm, but tolerable, and there was a constant and brisk wind. The sky was perfectly clear and there was a stillness and quiet which "hangs" in the air making the acoustics unusual. I now know why people say that the desert is mysterious and why people are drawn to it. On this trip, you are likely to see HUGE cacti forests (and also a wide variety of cacti) and you may be taken to the ancient mesa (table) where the native people built a rock look-out and sent smoke signals from. You need to be in decent shape for this adventure and you must be tolerant of dust, wind, glaring sun, bumpy roads and heat or you will not have any fun.

“Razr tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Mike was awesome! Our family of three had a total blast! He had total knowledge of the desert and surroundings. Actually, very educational! We drove one of his razr off road vehicles. It was easy to drive and Mike's instructions were easy to follow. The only regret was not booking the whole day! We were sad that the tour ended at noon. We will be back and will for sure book a whole day! Thanks again Mike.

“Great Ranger Tour”

This was our first tour in the desert. Mike provide a great running commentary on all the plants and desert features. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We fully intend to return with other family members for the longer tour.

“Elbert in Indiana-Another Great Desert Tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

This was our second desert tour with the company. Last year, we took the short 2-1/2 hour Ranger tour which was a great first experience. This year we took the longer 4-1/2 hour Ranger tour which included visits to a real ghost town and mine shafts. It was another fun desert experience! It's so much more fun when you're driving the Razr on the tour. This is a laid back tour, yet adventurous! We had an awesome tour guide each time. This last time, we had Brandon. If your looking for a great Arizona experience, I highly recommend the longer 4-1/2 hour Ranger tour. I highly recommend Arizona Hummer Tours!
