This was recommended by a Time Share salesperson.....and she wad right!!! Looks like a dump on the outside ...but INSIDE it is fabulous ...prime rib is heavenly..ambience is perfect. Staff was terrific..couldn't ask for more. Reminded me of Blackies House Of Beef in Washington DC years ago. Dinner with two drinks was 110.00. Worth every penny.

OK, we have all been to a ton of steakhouses that serve the exact food you can get at Durant's, and many of them possibly had better food than this, but the restaurant is more than just the food, it is the experience. It is a really old school place, you enter through the kitchen and all the wait staff has been there for ever. The interior decor is as if it is the same as it was many years ago. I am glad I tried it, not the most amazing food but an enjoyable experience.

If you like 20th century American History, this place is like a walk in the past. Beautiful decor combined with service traditions long forgotten, Duran'ts is perfect for the old school dining experience. Entering from the Parking Lot through the kitchen suggested old time Speakeasy ambiance. The bartender did not flinch when my wife ordered a Gin Press, and I requested Tito's Martini. Perfect drinks with long standing recipes. Very impressive.
The Prime Rib was very marbled and not so piping hot, so nothing to write home about; but the presentation, service and overall experience of this place more than makes up for it.
This is a destination restaurant to bring visiting relatives who want to see a Legendary piece of Phoenix history.

If you want to feel transported back in time a few decades, then you want to go to Durant's. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant look frozen from a time before I was born. But it doesn't look old or run down, just classic.

We went there for drinks and a quick late night snack. The bar area is very comfortable and the service is outstanding. They have a limited selection of liquor, so don't try to choose anything too unusual and they have no beer on draft. The food is very tasty.

Be prepared to spend money though, nothing about this establishment is cheap. For two drinks and appetizer we spent over $30.00; I can't imagine how much we'd spend for a full meal. Not a place we will frequent, but will be fun to bring out of town visitors too.

A brilliant restaurant maintaining its charm of decades past. Regulars for those many decades still come and bring new generations of family diners. If a carnivore, the steaks can't be beat. If a drinker, the bar is terrific for booze & eating appetizers; the martinis and margaritas always get good reviews. The seafood is always good as are the burgers. But SAVE ROOM for the heavenly desserts. Bar none, one will never be disappointed. Everything (even the caramel and chocolate sauce) is homemade (except for the ice cream I was told). Prices are rather high, but service is great; there are wait staff members who have been working there decades as well. The fresh bread drenched in garlic and olive oil served at ever meal is unbelievably addictive and sinfully good!!!
