Twenty of us did a cattle drive as an event. All of us were adults, with differing levels of experience riding horses. The staff was friendly, helpful and skilled. I've been on similar "cattle drives" where the horses and the cattle had done it so often, they each simply walked home. This was a much better experience, more fun and required more participation from the group.
Two fell, so it's not for everyone, especially if you are afraid of horses (they seem to sense fear). One guy wore shorts - not recommended. In fact jeans and a long sleeve shirt are probably best as there was shrubs and cactus along the ride.
