“Lovely to tour”

Have toured many times with those wonderful docents full of territorial and early Phoenix tales. Especially magical when decorated for Christmas.

this is a nice little half hour tour if you are interested in historical housing. We really enjoyed it. Not a whole lot else to do in the area.

“Delightful little gem!”
Reviewed March 8, 2009

Painstakingly and authentically restored to reflect its turn-of-the-century charm, the Rosson House is a paradox in the middle of Phoenix's urban sprawl. The ticket office, housed in an 1880s carriage house, doubles as Victorian gift shop and is worth a quick stop on its own. The house itself is just gorgeous inside and the docents knowledgable and family friendly . . . they didn't so much as bat an eye when I proposed bringing my 5- and 2-year-olds inside! The house tour was short enough that the kids didn't get restless (and afterwards we were encouraged to take them to the Hands On Heritage House next door where kids can touch nearly everything there--they loved that!). This is the perfect diversion if you have an hour or so to kill in Phoenix and want something to take you out of the hustle of the city.

“Very enjoyable”
Reviewed June 5, 2008

I took a tour of the Rosson House in May of 2008. The docent was friendly and knowledgeable on her subject. The house itself was really pretty, and Junior League did an excellent job authenticating the original way the house was designed.
