Will this really be the first review of Snooze in Phoenix? I hope I am able to write a review worth of being the first. And worthy of this OUTSTANDING restaurant.
I travel regularly on business and when I do I always try to find really great breakfast places.
I stumbled on Snooze because we were staying at a hotel nearby and passed it one evening during a walk. It looked GREAT, but was closed as it is only open for breakfast and lunch.
We ate there the next morning and it was so good. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Great decor. The waitstaff was very attentive as well. VERY good service.
So what about the food? My wife got the "green eggs and ham" sandwich. Eggs, ham, spinach, and I think dijon hollandaise although my wife substituted pico de gallo and loved it.
I got the "Ham Benedict III." To call it eggs benedict doesn't do it justice. The eggs were perfectly cooked - PERFECTLY. The muffin was great. But the star was the ham. It wasn't just a slice of Canadian bacon. It was ham that was "chunked" and crisped up. GREAT. And the hollandaise was terrific.
The thing that really sold me though was the home fries. They were prepared in a "ring" and were so good. Too often the potatoes with breakfast are bland. These were anything. They really added to the meal.
The coffee was good too. And they have a LOT of beverage options.
I will return to Snooze EVERY TIME when I am in Phoenix.
