Hadn't been to this restaurant since it was called Seafood Market in the 1980s or later. My first clue should have been that the Bluewater Grill was about 25% full on a bery busy Saturday night in one of the most popular areas of the city. Met a friend for dinner and I ordered the Sauteed Canadian Walleye Pike with Steamed Spinach. I grew up in the Minnesota/North Dakota region where Walleye Pike is always excellent. Light, flakey, delicate flavor--my favorite fish. This Pike was tasteless--absolutely tasteless. The lemon-caper sauce was heavy-handed and couldn't help this entree. The steamed spinach was swimming in grease--perhaps butter but didn't taste like butter. Steamed spinach shouldn't be greasy--just gently steamed with a bit of butter and graded parmesan, perhaps. The hard-crusted bread delivered at the beginning of the meal was good and was my malbec. Service was great.
