After reading the excellent reviews we had dinner here on our overnight stay in Phoenix. Maybe we just had an off night - the food was average and our waitress, while attentive was not overly friendly. Seeing this restaurant is not too far from the airport it must get tourists, business people, etc. so a little more friendliness would have been nice, especially having two kids with us. The hostess was as kind and pleasant on our way in as on our way out. Would I recommend this restaurant anyway? Yes, but would not go back if in Phoenix again.

Frequent patron and the food is always above par. Just dont expect to get away cheaply. Worth it for that special occasion or entertaining business colleagues.

An old restaurant located in area that was the largest stockyard at the turn of the century. I've only eaten beef there, but they do have varied menu and nice wine list. Food and service is very good, and complimented by the southwest surroundings. The restaurant is located in the airport area.

The ambiance in the restaurant is superb as is the wait staff and the food. If you are in Phoenix, make sure you go to this restaurant. Everything is "perfection". Keep in mind they close at 9 pm. Be sure to check out the bar area and the photos on the wall. Request the "John Wayne" booth if you are with a group and you like John Wayne! Gary might put his photo on your table while you dine!!!!

This is my top spot for a friendly business lunch. Great atmosphere, great food and the best wait staff. Anytime I tae a "first timer", they have to have the signature shaved prime rib sandwich. It never disappoints! I also suggest the Cesar Salad w/ filet mignon (for the health conscious beef eater) or w/ chicken. The NY Strip open faced sandwich is also very tasty. When it is time to order your beverage, make sure you get the Arnold Palmer (tea and lemonade). Always the best at this location. Wait staff knows how to make you feel like a regular and knows when to come to the table or stay away during conversation.
