Description: Little Cleo's, named after the iconic fishing lure is located at The Yard - a unique, neighborhood-inspired development project. When you step inside Little Cleo's, you've discovered a hidden coastal gem in the heart of a Central Phoenix neighborhood. This small, intimate restaurant radiates ease with a dash of vintage 40's style, while offering an assortment of fresh ocean fare. Seafood served fresh daily, such as Loup de Mer, Pacific white sea bass, warm truffle butter jars with crab and an array of succulent oysters.

“Enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

This was our first visit to this location, one of many Sam Fox concepts. It is a quiet oasis situated in The Yard, a busy, vibrant complex. Our waitperson was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. I had a sinful appetizer, crab in a jar of butter with toasted bread, and my husband had the mussels which he described as the largest he had ever eaten. Both very good. For dessert we had the cream cheese ice cream which was yummy! It's not inexpensive but I'd go back to try other dishes. Of note, parking is limited so it's a good thing they have free valet parking.

“Good but could be improved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Went there on a Friday night - what a zoo! The restaurant is in the same compound as 2 other restaurants with large open areas & that makes parking ridiculous & the outside areas very noisy.Hostess was excellent - very friendly & accommodating. Food at Little Cleo's was good - the small plates better than the main plates. The bacon & eggs, octopus and oysters were all very good. The fish & chips very disappointing - fish was good & crisp but the 3 steak fries that came with it were not crispy in the least & just bland and, quite frankly, terrible. Tried one & left the others on the plate. At the price for fish & chips they need to make some serious changes to their fries, or just take it off the menu. Service was very good but water glasses sat empty for 5-10 minutes - and the place was only about 70% full. Wine was served in small glasses, with small serviings, that one would expect from a cheap restaurant - which LC's is not. I hope that they work on improving things, because they have a great concept, but food shouldn't be disappointing.

“Dockside in the Desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Little Cleo's is a wonderful group dining experience. Located in the Yard, a group of restaurants sharing a semi-outdoor dining and game area is a great opportunity to combine a fun time with fresh, creative seafood dishes. The oysters on the half-shell could have easily been mistaken for dockside fare.

“Don't go if you're dieting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Oh my....who can resist a jar of melted butter, filled with crab, surrounded by toasted bread that is heavenly. It is rich and fantastic.

Actually, everything we've had here is wonderful: the quinoa salad (okay, you could eat if you are dieting), the bouillabaisse, frogs legs, salmon, crab toast, roasted corn, shrimp po'boy.

They have a burger on the menu - wonder how many they sell.

Only complaint, service is a little slow and the place is noisy.

“great venue, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

What a concept, multiple restaurants and bars share a large central open space with cocktail tables and table games. Little Cleos is like an eastern shore seafood joint. Oysters were terrific if a little pricey by the each, clam chowder good (I'd ask for less pepper though next time), crab in a jar small plate was superb. Long line at valet, short wait for table at 6:30 but it was crazy busy with with 20 somethings when we left around 8. All in all, highly enjoyable less than $100/couple (1 drink each) and will be back.
