“After trying others, we come back to the best and it's Sing HIgh”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2011

My family has been eating here for over 30 years. We always have consistent quality in the food ( I like the Sing High Fried Rice and the Moo Goo Gai Pan myself !). The food is always hot,, just cooked...you can even watch them cooking it through the window in to the kitchen. The service is friendly, and there's always either a family member or a staff member who has been there forever to greet you. It's always open and they seem to be able to handle crowds and large family groups well. It's cool that they have been open for over 80 years, too! They must be doing something right! I know I'm the 3rd generation of my family that eats here. Love it!

“82 Years....of Mediocrity”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2010

Cheap and fast is the only positive thing I can say. Bland, mediocre food, almost like the old La Choy supermarket stuff. Canned vegetables. Bored, unfriendly waitstaff who started putting chairs on tables a 1/2 hour before closing. Proximity to the Convention Center must be the only thing that saves this place.
It wasn't bad or revolting, but nothing was actually good.

“A downtown secret for decades.......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2010

This place is said to be the oldest operating family-owned Chinese restaurant in Phoenix, since 1928. It's in the middle of the downtown close to USAirways Arena, Convention Center, and Chase Field. Most menu items are cooked to order, portions generous, and you can't beat the value. Noted dishes.... their Sing High Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, of course, Chop Suey and Chow Mein. Very casual; handles large groups and families well. Bonus: their own free parking lot!
