Description: TEXAZ Grill is a long time Central Phoenix favorite for folks from all walks of life. This is one special place to dine on a superior steak prepared with great care. Take a look around TEXAZ Grill and you will see an amazing collection of unique decorations including historic signs, Texas memorabilia, vintage advertisements and a Juke Box full of 45’s by native born Texans.Although TEXAZ Grill is known for the famed Chicken Fried Steak so big you’ll have two meals, they also serve a wide range of fresh foods. Carefully cooked, high quality chicken, steak, shrimp, prime rib, pork chops and catfish populate the menu at TEXAZ Grill. The shrimp are #1 Mexicans - the best shrimp you can get. The delicious steaks are USDA Choice, perfectly aged and hand cut in house and you will know it on sight when you take your first bite. What you will not experience is the sticker shock like most steak houses. TEXAZ Grill gives a real bang for the buck.

“good hearty meal after a full day of traveling”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Let me start at the beginning - 1/2 price Happy Hour Margaritas were $2.50! They were good too. I ordered the Dallas tacos, which were 6 small toritillas with brisket, salsa, cabbage and guacamole. The kids ordered steak, chicken tenders, and fried chicken - all came with potatoes, which were yummy. My husband ordered the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich. The one thing (that I liked) is that they don't overload the food with salt. You can add your own, which is great. I cleaned my plate & had some of the kids potatoes as well. Kids meals were a bit pricey, but the quality/quantity was good - so, I can't complain much. But, my meal was $8 & my son's steak was $9, so that just seemed a little odd to me. Overall - good experience, would recommend & would go back.

“2nd visit, memories of first visit were better”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I visited this restaurant maybe 10 years ago and remember a great dinner. On a recent family vacation I finally found TEXAZ again remembering that it had been the name of some steakhouse chain but lost the rights to it thanks to corporate lawyers.

The portions were more than ample, they were huge. The meat is grilled without any seasoning. This may appeal to some, but I found my steak to be a bit bland.

Service was good. It was quite a crowd for a Saturday evening in March.

“A Fantastic Surprise in a Strip Mall”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Upon driving up to the Texaz Grill you might want to pass it by, and that would be a HUGE mistake! The fried cat fish is to kill for and the portions are very large. The service is excellent and they appear glad to have you eat with them. It is a very popular place with locals and they come to eat here often.

“Great Place to visit”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We met up with someone here on our first night in Phoenix. It was a lot of fun. Great food and service. I ordered the chicken fried steak...no way could I eat all of that. I had to share with all the others at the table. It was HUGE. The food was really good and fair price. Great service and we had a good experience all the way around.
