“Creative Excellence”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed a very delicious meal at Tarbell's. Unlike some reviews, I didn't think it was particularly cramped. The service was friendly and professional. The only negative was the grill smoke from the kitchen. The fans needs some TLC.

“A Great Surprise!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

We happened on Tarbells looking for a good restaurant in the Scottsdale area open on a Sunday evening. What a Find! We shared an order of Carpaccio - fantastic! And then shared a Saprosata Pizza - amazing!! The thin crust was out of this world. All this combined with a good Italian red from Montefalco made the meal very memorable. We'll be back for more and highly recommend this "locals" place to all.

“Top of the Line”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

The food is all organic. But. don't let that fool you. Everything is delicious and exquisitely prepared. The restaurant is somewhat formal - you'll feel more comfortable in business casual attire. The food is a bit pricey but considering the atmosphere, the credentials of the chef and the wonderful way everyone is treated it should be considered for a night out or a special occasion. The staff are as professional as it gets. I recommend the salad appetizers, all the entrees and the excellent desserts.

“Used to be better”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Have eaten here quite often over the years, given that we r locals and not turists. Unfortunately this is another place in Scottsdale that has suffered from its success. I don't understand why maintaining the same principles that have made a place popular to begin with go out the door once popularity has been achieved. The food used to be better, the friendly staff and hostess have lost their friendliness, the owner used to be around a lot greeting the return clientele, etc., well none of the above have been sustained.
I believe that with a rebounding economy, the out of towners have returned to the area, they visit our local restaurants once, and depending on their experience may or may not return. But the restaurants r full, so why bother keeping up past standards. Which means those of us that live in Scottsdale full time stop going because we remember how good it was before.
Still love the chocolate mousse. As good as one may find in Paris or Lisbon.
Cheers.

Outside deceives the inside. Food is excellent as is the service. A great find for those looking for quality fresh food.
