“Great place to stay and hold your events!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

The guest room was so beautiful! The bed was comfy and the view was Instagram-able. I also attended a work event in the conference room. The sound equipment made the meeting easily understood and the catered food was delicious! The staff was also very helpful and kind. Thanks for a great place to meet and stay.

We added on one extra night to our spring training stay in Arizona, and it wound up being at this lovely boutique hotel in downtown Phoenix. Ironically, I was looking forward to our stay at the Scottsdale resort the following nights, but I wish I spent the entire 3 nights here. I am glad to see the hotel ranks so high on Trip Advisor, because I like to see places get their due credit. I do not see how anyone could find anything wrong with this place.

The rooms are beautiful, and there is a wine tasting at 5 pm. The location is perfect if you are doing a game or concert. There was even a jogging map that they provided, which is similar to my beloved Westin hotels. Aside from my honeymoon and other tropical vacations, this was probably the best hotel that I ever stayed in. It was definitely the best urban hotel that I ever spent a night at.

We stayed at the Palomar for a couple of days in March. The hotel is relatively new and they are still building a further 10 floors on top of the existing 10. This didn't really affect us apart the bits of slate that fell into the pool area which prompted the General Manager to appear very quickly to stop the work. The outdoor pool area on the 3rd floor is very relaxing, unfortunately on the day that we were there it closed at 16:00 for a private function. The rooms are beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. There is a free Happy Hour from 17:00-18:00 each night in the main lobby. The hotel is located close to the basketball and baseball stadiums but apart from that there didn't seem to be too much else to do in that part of Phoenix. We actually cut our visit short by a day and although we would definitely recommend the hotel probably won't return to Phoenix.

Room Tip: Choose a lower floor whilst the building work continues. Due to end in Sept 2013

My husband & I recently stayed at Hotel Palomar in downtown Phoenix - what a treat that was! The hotel is new and beautifully decorated, centrally located near everything in downtown Phoenix. The rooms, restaurant, and pool area have great views. All of the staff was exceptionally friendly to us - even the general manager of the hotel greeted us and welcomed us to the area and asked about our stay there. How nice! We will definitely be back.

I was impressed by the overall feel of the lobby and great customer service I received by all of the employees however, parking became annoying. You have to pay 27.00 a day to park in the garage and its inconveniently located. We ended up just valeting the car and that becomes quite expensive to say the least. We hoped to hang out by the pool during the day on their roof top pool but it was crowded and packed into a tight space shared with a bar. There really was no space to enjoy the sun. Lastly the hotel doesn't have a hot tub and the pool closes at midnight. Other then the nice bellmen, I could have stayed at the holiday inn and been just as happy.

Loved the whole experience here. The front desk was really friendly and helpful and they even had bikes you could borrow for free to ride around downtown. It's literally across the street from the baseball stadium and close to everything. The rooms look like new and they are very modern and well designed.

This is a great location if you are attending a game downtown, it is just a few minute walk to the stadiums. Everything about the room and staff is first class. Very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. It is located in a neat commercial area with lots of great restaurants nearby. We did not try the hotel restaurant, but did try the Breakfast Club right outside the lobby entrance and it was great. Even though it is a great property I think it is priced too high, unless you get a deal, which can be had on Hotwire and probably other similar sites. They are building an addition on top of the existing 10 story structure, and I suspect noise could be a problem if you are on the 10th floor. We were on the 4th and had no noise. There is a large crane right in front of the hotel, that makes finding the self park garage a challenge, and as we were pulling in a large bucket of concrete was swinging directly over the entrance-very disconcerting. The garage parking which is $20 is actually the next door office building parking area, and very poorly marked. Be sure to note your space number as we had difficulty relocating our car on departure. It is not obvious how you get to the hotel, you take the 'Office Elevator' and exit that lobby across the courtyard to the hotel. There is a very nice 3rd floor pool and bar, although the bar was not open when we were there. We will be back!

Room Tip: With construction of an addition above the 10th floor I recommend a lower floor
