We recently stayed at Hotel Palomar and were blown away by the quality of the rooms, incredibly friendly service and luxury amenities. We spend almost every second weekend in 4+ star hotels all over the country and Hotel Palomar is by far one of the best we have stayed in to date. The restaurant/lounge has a great night time ambience and menu, as well as incredible Sunday brunch entertainment. Beds are extremely comfortable and location is top notch. We will highly recommend for all our friend and family to stay here whenever they are in Phoenix- this hotel is doing it right!!

Two night visit from Jan 6 - 8. Construction noise didn't start until 8:30 AM and was pretty minor. Got a good rate on Priceline and this is a good location for area attractions such as Standup Live Comedy and US Airways Center for Suns Basketball. Free wine 5 - 6 PM on second floor was a fun place to socialize. Coffee served in the same location in the morning but ended at 9 AM. I showed up at 9:15, was immediately greeted by a hotel employee who figured out I needed coffee, and she went into the restaurant to get me two to go.

Excellent service is what makes this place stand out. They go out of their way to make personal connections - bell-staff, front desk, maid staff -- everyone goes out of their way to show you a personal touch. The rooms are modern and sleek. And the restaurant and pool side bar are both great spots with good food and drinks. Overall, this place has a hip and chic vibe. The facilities aren't quite 5-star, but almost ... and the service is certainly top notch. Have stayed here 4 or 5 times, and each time has exceeded expectations

Stayed for one night in August. The hotel staff was fantastic! There was a personalized welcome package for our two year old daughter, including fairy wings and a magic wand. She loved them! The rooms were basically brand new and beds comfortable. It is in very close proximity to Chase Field, an easy walk to catch a D-backs game. Got a good breakfast recommnedation - Matt's Big Breakfast - and, overall, had a great experience.

We stayed at the hotel New Year's Eve. The room was fantastic. Everything was very modern and the view of downtown Phoenix is excellent. Great location. We went to the symphony, but all of the sports arenas and cityscape is close. A few suggestions. Make sure that you join the kimpton club on the Internet web site before your visit. The hotel provided us wit a $10 mini bar credit and free wifi. We also received an upgraded room. There is an evening wine social hour from 5-6 which is free. I would suggest that you also valet your car. We were told that the self-park was $12, but it turned out to be $27 with the 2013 rates. The valet price is the same amount as the self parking.

This is a hotel that carries a luxury hotel name ... And the rooms and bathrooms are definitely upscale (hotel just opened June 2012) ... Service was excellent at the start .. However, the lights went out in the entire hotel for hours the first night we were there .. Being NYE it was difficult to find a new hotel so we suffered through ... This is a hotel that wants to be something it is not yet ... BUT NOTE ... The worst thing about this hotel is its location ... I was given a three page listings of restaurants in the location around the hotel and literally 95% of them close at 2:30 or 4:30 pm ... Even the CVS closes early ... It was told to me that this hotel was like an investment on the remodeling of downtown which used to be crap ... If that is the case it will take roughly 3-5 yrs from now before a customer can think they are getting something for their money at this hotel ... After 5 pm you are stranded like on an island if you don't have a car or don't want to walk like 10 or more blocks to an inhabited part of town ... Yes the light rail is here but on the weekend it runs very infrequently... The building the hotel is in is undergoing major construction which might explain why the power was out for hours ... Save yourself a lot of headach and don't book a room here until around 2015 or even 2016 .... It's VERY rudimentary in this part of town, in this building block, and in this hotel

Went to a basketball game at the US Airways Center and the location was fantastic, right across the street. We were early to check in but the room was ready. Valet parking was great, bellman was fantastic. I would recommend this for anything at the US airways or Chase field. You can see chase field from the hotel.

Room Tip: View of the US Airways Center was Awesome!!
