This is a hike that is worth taking- but there is always a parking issue. But the hike is better than just an uphill climb. Stay on the trail - however, because getting off means you may need a helicopter. Bring plenty of water- and if you bring dogs, bring water for them too

I really enjoyed hiking the summit of Camelback Mountain. I was also PREPARED to do so with a backpack, plenty of water, and hiking boots. My sincere recommendation for our out-of-town guests is to realize that this is NOT Disneyland, and despite being a relatively easy hike, it is still strenuous activity. This goes twice for when temperatures are over 90 degrees or so. So, if you are considering doing this, be prepared properly, and it might be a good idea to do it early in the day.

This is a great hike! Beautiful views. We try to head up no later than 8:30 or the trail becomes packed. Wear a layer you can remove. The early morning is chilly, but within the 1st 10 minutes you will have warmed up.
Places to get off the trail and admire the views or munch on a granola bar.
A must do on your hiking list!

I went early for my hike to marker 18 from the Phoenician Resort, 3.5 miles, approx. 2 hrs. Left at 7:00 am. As the morning progressed the trail became rather crowded. All rock climbing, so attention must be made to footholds. Do stop and enjoy the scenery however. Very pretty.

This is a great hike up Camelback Mountain. A little challenging but fun and has great views. Be prepared and bring water, snack and backpack.
