I never expected a 24 hour coffee joint in this neighborhood, but it seems to work. This Saturday night (well Sunday morning at 1:30am) I stopped in with a friend who has a major jones about this place. It was my first visit. Max was behind the counter taking orders and doing the barista thing. This is genuine coffee heaven - not bland, national chain joe. The combination of their coffee beans and the finesse on the group handle gave me a perfect latte. No sugar needed.

The crepe was OK. Aaron did a fine job, but I'm just not a crepe fan. However, the tomato sauce and basil filling was yummy. Would like to try it sometime on pasta (if they served it ... or if Aaron wants to cook for me privately).

There are a couple of funky bars and other eating establishments on the block. Around the corner is Bliss Rebar - so it is becoming a destination neighborhood.

In the bathroom, where the toilet paper was housed in the bath tub, a piece of paper was hanging above the toilet that said, "Best Place to Take a Scenester." Who knew the Phoenix New Times voted on that, but apparently Jobot won this prestigious award.

Now, I went at approximately 3am, but it was a very weird spot. It's the only 24-hour thing other than iHop that I know of in Downtown Phoenix on the weekends. The crepes were okay.... It's a small converted house that showcases local art (and sells it) and has a few tables scattered about for "deep" conversations. I overheard more than I wanted to, that's for sure.

They are opening a new place a few doors down called Nachobot, I think I'd like to go there. Late night nachos seem like a better idea than late night crepes.
