Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Midtown

This property has such INCREDIBLE potential. The location is darn near perfect - smack in the business corridor and adjacent to some great restaurants and the light rail. Where it falls down, hard, are the modern touches we've come to expect from hotels geared toward biz travelers. Outlets near the bed (on the lamp) would be a nice touch. In fact, the only outlets accessible and unused in my room were on the desk - 1 on the lamp, and 3 on the side of the desk, but not easily seen. The bathroom was in good working order, but a second shampoo on the second day would have been a nice touch. The bed was clean and well made, but the firmness "switch" didn't do anything - there were two zones on the bed and that was just going to have to be OK. Carpet is worn and dated.

Overall, I *would* stay here again - the rates are great and the location can't be beat. If they'd invest just a little bit, though, this could be one of the best hotels in CenPho.

The staff is hospitable and efficient. Very clean. Great value. I've stayed a number of times and never had a bad experience. (I agree with AxCarolTucson about Fez, by the way, and there's a Schlotzky's a few blocks south.) I'd recommend it to anyone!

If you are looking for excellent food, a wonderful room and exquisite service then look no further! Luis, Bill and Susan provide all of this and more! Our new favorite in Phoenix! We love the free shuttle to downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for a Cabana Room-----beautiful view over the pool!

Excellent hotel and mid-town location.Parking, room & bed, staff, breakfast were great and very clean too. Stayed here in August 2012 with my wife while on a business trip. Came back myself for more meetings earlier in January. Location is perfect to our clients and the light rail also. Will stay here again and recommend too.

Perfect location for a meeting nearby, appreciate being allowed to bring our own drinks and gather with friends in the sitting area. Breakfast buffet offered a good variety of options. The shuttle service to areas around town is convenient, and the car service at a flat rate for transporting our group to the airport is a nice touch. The hotel could use some updating.

Had meetings at a hotel nearby that had such bad reviews I decided to stay where i could get at least reward points....this place is adequate. A bit tired, but safe and close to one of my favorite restaurants called Fez. If you have business in central PHX this place works, and is on the light rail system. Close to shopping at Last Chance, Biltmore and close to the downtown sports area. Staff were excellent, building just older.

Room Tip: Tower versus cabana? I was in the west tower...overlooked the pool but in the middle of the coldest...

I was attending a meeting in the office building next to this hotel. It was a one night stay and while I didn't get to spend a lot of time at the hotel, I can say it was very comfortable. The bedding was very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
