Hey wonderful restaurant. Service was fantastic. Food cooked in a wood fireplace was excellent. Musician was playing outside. Very good wine selection. It was so nice that we will return for lunch everyday we're here in Phoenix. Highly recommended

“Timo's Wine Bar A Very Cool Place and Happy People Eating and Drinking Well”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

We met here last evening for a Happy Hour Birthday
celebration and we did indeed get happier !
They start happy hour here at 3 PM and end it at 6 PM, so go early and take your time. I met people coming from work, and it was a good location for all of us who live on the North Side of Camelback. Good small plate choices and prices for a nice variety of tapas. We chose the salmon with corn cake, very nice, then assorted tasty crostini, then the scrumptious wood-fired chicken wings. All presentations were nicely done with good side sauces and garnish. They have a Vegetarian or healthy diet friendly menu. I have not yet tried their woodfired pizza, but am looking forward to it.
The special menu drinks at happy hour are exotic; their are wines by the glass featured for $5 and $7 ; we chose
excellent pourings of Italian wine and received truly exceptional service from Sam. Sitting in their enclosed garden where even dogs are welcomed, was so relaxing. Staff going back and forth with their apple firewood for the pizza oven made it cozy. The smells here are so great; as behooves a great restaurant. They keep the hearth fired up inside and out.
As dark approached,we moved inside for heartier fare, where we shared the very fine antipasto plate, had salads, and then devoured a memorable Peach Cobbler, mouthwateringly delicious. Service continued to impress and we got a great view of a radiant sunset through the garage door windows. As a former fire station, the walls do indeed open up, which actually happened last night, due to perfect weather. The acrobatic bar tender was practicing his moves providing a fun diversion. The acoustics are good for conversation and the space is intimate. By the time we left, it was dark, and the firepit was going in the garden, tempting one to linger for an after dinner round. We will definitely be returning. Hooray for such a cool spot in my neighborhood !
Kudos to the chefs and staff. Well done.

“Timo is wonderful!”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

We just returned from a happy hour at Timo, and all we can say is that the wine, the food, everything was wonderful. And the staff is great too. Between the two of us we decided to try four of the happy hour specials which are salads and small plates. Everything was out of this world. We had the escargot Barcelona (spinach, tomatoes, garlic), the smoked salmon, corn cakes, fresh dill, the spicy copa ham, prosciutto, olive tapenade, and the rocket greens, dried raspberries & blueberries, pecans, pancetta, feta, apple vinaigrette (gf). And a wonderful Valentin Bianchi, Malbec, Argentina. What a delightful early evening sitting at the bar with Amy the bartender and the young gentleman cooking all of the delicious food in the wood fired oven.

“Love this place! Can't get enough of it!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

They have mimosa flights! Yes, I said mimosa flights. My rosemary lemon chicken with asparagus cooked over wood fire. Omg yum! Been here 2 times and it just gets better each time. The service is great, they are always attentive and smiling. Real warm and cozy little spot. Oh and let's not forget the white sangria #amaze!
