I stayed here in mid-June for a business meeting. $89 rate.
The hotel was undergoing renovation, and the lobby was busy with construction. However, most other public areas were completed, as was my guest room on the fifth floor.
The new decor is very modern and brightly colored, but attractive (with the exception of the "clown colors" in the guest room corridors.) The room itself was roomy, very nicely furnished, and had a newer, comfortable mattress. Bathing section of the bathroom (toilet & tub) was dimly lit, however.
The breakfast buffet was good (standard Embassy Suites fare) with eggs cooked to order and various breads, cereals, fruit and yogurt. At lunch time, the dining area transforms to "Tatum's Restaurant" and has a reliable menu with good variety. Staff throughout the hotel is excellent...very friendly foodservice staff, bar man, front desk, etc. Note, I didn't make any special requests.
We used a small meeting room on the 2nd floor; it's cramped for a meeting of more than 8, and had uncomfortable "stacking type" chairs rather than boardroom chairs plus a tiny whiteboard/screen. So if you are organizing a group meeting larger than that, check out the larger rooms on the first floor. Golf course looked great but we didn't have time to play.
