Were staying in the Tempe area for one night as we were travelling from Australia to Mexico. Walking distance from our hotel - Best Western Tempe by the Mall. Friendly reception, seated quickly, great, rustic ambience. Extensive menu , food delivered quickly and there was plenty of it. I had a cheddar and potato soup and jacket potato stuffed with vegies. Both fresh and delicious. My companion had a green salad an ultimate fish and shrimp. 2 beers. Cost 48 US. No room for dessert. Would go back.

Had to wait quite a while for a party of 5 to sit. Food was average, but a little pricey. Waitress was great!

Good place for a date night. Great food, fun atmosphere, only drawback was the price was a little high for what it is.

It had been a long time since we dined at our nearby Claim Jumpers. I guarantee we will return very soon. There are so many unusual and interesting menu items we just have to sample. The room is just as pleasant as it always was - there isn't the feeling of being stacked in on top of other diners. One can only see a few other tables/booths at a time. (Although admittedly I did not completely check this out throughout the room.) The noise is likely reduced although it is difficult to tell as it wasn't busy when we were there.

The service was excellent as was the quality of the food. The menu runs the gamut of salads, sandwiches, seafood, pasta, pizza & calzones, beef and chicken. Extensive appetizer menu. There was an often innovative variety in preparation choices as opposed to the standard entree with choice of.....

We learned Claim Jumpers is now part of the huge Landry family of mostly restaurants to include Morton's, Chart House, Rusty Pelican, Fisherman's Wharf. They have a rewards card that is pretty simple and widely accepted. The one-time $25 enrollment free is offset by the $25 "welcome reward" on the next visit. Also included is the $25 annual "birthday reward", priority seating, etc.

The location near us is right off one major east-west bypass and near its intersection with the major north-south I-17.

We stumbled across the Claim Jumper on a recent trip to Phoenix AZ and thought we would give it a try. Looked at the menu online and it looked like it had something for everyone. I got the baby back ribs and shrimp. The ribs were some of the best i've ever tasted but the shrimp was fantastic. The shrimp was stuffed with cream cheese and a small piece of jalapeno. They were wrapped in bacon, grilled and covered in a bbq sauce. My side was fried mac and cheese which was drizzled with a bit of hot sauce. The corn bread muffin was basically shaped like a mini bunt cake and was perfect. My only regret was that we didn't save room for desert.

The menu was huge and it took us a while to decide what the four of us would order. We definitely will come back the next time we are in Phoenix. There are at least 3 or 4 other things I want to try next time.
