This is a great restaurant for anything you are going to do downtown - theater, opera, symphony or sports. You can dress or not dress. The restaurant is in the Westin Hotel and we had a great dinner and excellent service. The menu is Latin American/Spanish and all the dishes and appetizers are very interesting. Lots of tapas to choose from. We had a type of sea bass from Australia which was beautifully presented and delicicious. Squash salad was exceptional. Looking forward to going back. We do go down to Central alot so this is a place we expect to frequent.

My wife and I stayed at the Westin and ate three dinners at Province. We found the food very good and appreciated the labeling of selections that were gluten free, vegan etc. As for service--the first night we waited over 30 minutes for our entrees after soup was served and never saw the waitperson again. We spoke with the assistant manager who seemed genuinely distressed and apologized extensively. The entrees then appeared. The assistant mgr then comped the meal. On return visits, the service was excellent and dishes were served promptly. So I assume the first night was just an oversight in the kitchen. Did not eat breakfast there as hotel breakfasts are overpriced.

I've eaten at Province in Chicago a couple of times and have never been disappointed. So when I was in Phoenix for business I decided to check it out. I was in phoenix on business and 5 of us Floridians (all Psychiatrists) were stranded bc w couldn't get flight so it until Sunday. Given my raves about the Chicago location they agreed to go and none of us were disappointed.
The reservations were easy to make and in fact the restaurant (located in the Westin) was surprisingly empty. The staff were warm and welcoming. Given the slowness of the restaurant it was easy for them to take extra care of us.
We started with multiple starters including Marcona almonds, croquetas and chorizo. Three of us had the pre fixe and were very pleased. I had the steak frittes - delish. Wine was inexpensive and we also found some great desert wine.

Thank Kenneth P
