I Just Returned From My Stay At The Sheraton Downtown Phoenix, Which Is Where District Is Located - Carrie Watson And Bryan (Not Sure His Last Name) Made My Experience There ABOVE Par!!!!

Both Went Out Of Their Way To Make Me Feel Welcome And Comfortable!!!! Carrie Recognized Me, And Took The Time To Ask If My Stay Was Going Well When We Passed In The Hotel!!!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The District Bar/Restuarant To The Upscale Traveler!!!!!

It Is AWESOME!!!!!!

“Good, not Great for Breakfast / Very good for Dinner”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Stayed during a recent convention. Had breakfast one morning and opted for the buffet as we were in a rush. Disappointed with the (1) scrambled eggs (hard and appeared to be from a mix and not real eggs) and (2) the biscuits/pastries which were a little hard - which might have been dried out due to temperature or length of time on buffet. For $20 (plus tax/tip) the breakfast seemed a touch high. Corner Bakery is just around the corner from the hotel, and we did that for another breakfast instead of staying in the hotel.

We also had a dinner meeting at the hotel with a large group (50+ people). Unlike breakfast, this meal was quite good, especially given the numbers. Started with several appetizers (calamari and spicy chicken), a nice salad with gorgonzola, and then filet with potatoes and several sides for the table (spinach, broccolini, mac/cheese, potato). Was not a fan of the mac/cheese, but also not a fan of sausage/kielbasa, which it contained. Desert (vanilla creme brulee cheesecake with frest fruit) was good, although personally not a huge creme brulee fan.

“Goodness Gracious!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

I stopped in for a drink or two at the District American Kitchen and Wine bar and was persuaded to try their Breast Cancer awareness month drink, the Goodness Gracious. OMG it was so tasty! Perfectly sweet and tangy and made for me by the creator, Joni. Awesome! Definitely coming again!

“2-year old Birthday Party”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We recently attended a small birthday party for a 2-year old daughter of our friends. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was good as well. Our server was Sunshine W. who was very attentive and personable.

“Lunch led to dinner!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

Restaurant choices in downtown Phoenix are somewhat limited, and I wanted tasty, not heavy. I was seated right away and ordered the black bean tostadas and the market salad
Both very good, the salad especially so. Great service. Looked forward to coming back for dinner. Had the tomato soup, which was merely good and then the tofu steak with succotash and creamed corn. The flavors and textures were great. Again outstanding service. Nice, open feel. Wish they had more vegetarian entrees.
