During our stay in Phoenix we ventured to Tucson to see Casa Grande and on the way back to the resort stopped off to enjoy a walk around Papago Park. Parked near Hole in the Rock and walked the short trail to the rock and to see the views from the hole in the rock, which overlooks Phoenix Zoo, the airport in the distance and downtown Phoenix. In late afternoon, is is a great leg stretcher and way to relax and unwind from travelling, especially as the sun begins to set, appreciate the changing colours on Camelback and on the skyline of Phoenix. Free to enter. On the adjoining hills is the Tomb of Hunt one of Phoenix's Govenors - a white tiled pyramid, again with great views late afternoon/early evening.
