An informative look at firefighting apparatus since the mid-1700s. The restoration of the various pieces is fantastic. The history of the profession as well as each piece is fascinating. There is even one more modern truck that children may climb on. The dispatch arrangement is interesting as is the memorial to those who perished on the job. Look for the "patch" from your local company.

This is a hidden gem near the Phoenix Zoo that is not well advertised. The collection of old fire- fighting equipment is stunning. This is well worth the admission price. In years past they would have a kid’s day where they have additional things for small children to do including a ride on a fire engine. I don’t know if they still do this but it would be a great day to take your children if they do.

Our friends were in town for Spring Training games and wanted to see the museum. He is helping to restore a fire engine in California and found the displays to very interesting and helpful.
It is not a "knock your socks off kind of place" but there is much to see and it is not crowded so go at your own pace!

Many older fire apparatus on display, but only a small amount of hands on activities for kids. Also would have liked to see more current equipment displayed as well. Giving guests a binder with facts/info upon entry is ok, but would have preferred to have the information displayed on a placard in front of the equipment instead.

Price was right, only 5$ / person. We spent about 2 hours looking at just a lot of firefighting equipment.I found all this info interesting . This museum is one of a kind that you are not going to see anywhere else.
