This museum of the indigenous people of the Southwest is the best, bar none.
There are areas of the museum dedicated to various tribal nations including the Pueblos and Eskimo's. There is a mural that wraps all the way around one of the main rooms that was painted by the Native American People. It tells of their oneness with Mother Earth and their being uprooted from their homes by the white man. It tells the story of the traitor Kit Carson and how he lied to them in behalf of the Calvary making false promises. It tells of the trail of tears under the administration of Andrew Jackson. How thousands upon thousands of them perished during the cold months of extradition to lands that nothing could survive on. Really,Really... take the time to study this Muriel as it gets across the true feelings of the indigenous people. There are beautiful displays of their craft worthy ingenious skills. From the construction of longboats to beadwork, weapons and hunting skills. The wonderful silversmith's and basket weavers. Their instinct on how to survive under harsh conditions. Displays of cultures and beliefs.

Don't miss this museum when you are in Phoenix, Arizona "You Will Not Be Disappointed"

This center doesn't have too many things that make it stand out from other science centers, but still is a good solid place for exploring science as a family. The outdoor water spot is fun on a hot day and inside you can try riding a bike on a rope or experience a hurricane and earthquake within a 3 minute span!

There are better science centers anywhere you go. Often too busy. Has one nice working area. Lasers upstairs are fun to play with. Some traveling exibits may be of more interest than the permanent, check locally.
