“Good food, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2009

The squash soup starter was great, the mains good, although not memorable (I had skate and my wife red snapper) and my dessert of passion fruit mousse and coconut sorbet lovely. The restaurant was busy and the servers a bit overwhelmed so service was slow. Having said that, we chose a wine which was based on the waitresses recommendation which was not to our taste. The manager changed the wine, no questions asked, which impressed us. All in all, an really nice night which we both enjoyed.

“Pretty good, for Phoenix”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2009

Some of the better food I've eaten in Phoenix--3.5/5 is more accurate than 4. I gave it the 4 because most food in Phoenix is rubbish. The salad, wine, and heirloom tomato appetizer were all very good.

“Exquisite restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2009

This small restaurant has a wonderful, upbeat ambience with exquisite food and presentation, and excellent service. It was probably our favorite restaurant in a 9-night stay in the Phoenix area. It is evident that the chefs and owner are serious about their craft. The servers are knowledgeable and professional, and you can tell they are proud of the food they deliver.

Amongst other highlights -- because everything from bread quality to dessert was excellent -- were their corn soup with cream cheese-filled chorizo mini-balls, and their duck breast served on gingerbread. Dessert from their creative list is a must as well.

“Circuit Breaker rules the evening.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2009

The food is eclectic, interesting and well prepared. Service sizes are quite small so not the place for hungry. The service, even before some fairly bizarre electrical problems, was spotty and unacceptable in view of proportion of help to diners. Major problems with lighting, ventilation - and with a or the manager on duty, we felt some accomodation should have been made in ultimate pricing. While food was lovely and well prepared the way the manager and staff handled the maintenance issues as well as the clientele would not induce me to return. Too many similar offerings to give this one a second chance.

“Another Amazing Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2009

Had dinner last night at Noca with three girlfriends. So, so good. I go about once a month and from my phone call to make a reservation (Elliot treats you like a friend even thought there's no way he could know everyone who calls) to special requests (a three ounce pour of a new wine I wanted to try) everything is just so. Attentive staff, a grown-up atmosphere (thank you for not blaring the music), and a talented (and handsome!) chef make this a favorite.
