This property is well located to where my meetings are held. The rooms are large and comfortable. The AC on the fifth floor worked great on this last visit. The breakfast buffet has been, at best, variable. Most of the time it is very good. On occasions that the hotel has low occupancy, the breakfast can be less impressive.

In the evenings, the bar staff are great great great. The bartender has been there for years and is a real A team member. The bar and regular menu are both available and I have always been happy.

As with other reviewers, I do not understand Double-tree is continuing the daily internet fees. Until they get past their greed, watch for room rates that include free internet and even a drink or a food credit at the restaurant. Usually, these room rates provide the best deal.

Room Tip: Even though the 5th floor AC worked well this trip, I do recommend avoiding the top floor and south...

You sound like an experienced traveler and I appreciate your feedback. We try to accommodate the needs of the "road warriors" who travel frequently. We are currently reviewing the internet fee structure to provide other options. HHonors members that are Gold or Diamond status get free internet. It's also free in all public areas. We look forward to your next visit.

Overall a great stay at very nice facility, however the shuttle experience from airport provided by hotel was absolutely horrible - pay the extra and take a cab! Room was clean and spacious. Odd setup with elevator outside and not enclosed in building.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the Hotel in general. I apologize, however, that the complimentary airport shuttle did not meet expectations. Our shuttle drivers are true professionals and I will challenge them to be even better. Thank you for your business and we hope to see you again soon.

My wife and I stay at this hotel several times each year when we fly out of or into Phoenix. It is always a pleasant, comfortable, clean, and affordable choice. The management is superb and the amenities are great. The only small complaint is the continuing charge for internet service. This seems a very out of date practice.

Thank you for staying with us each time you fly out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Your compliments are great to read. I have a feeling that the internet charge will be dropped at some point. I just can't say when. DoubleTree is working on a tiered pricing strategy but it hasn't been unveiled yet.

We ended up at the Doubletree Suites to be close to the airport. The greetings from the front desk were wonderful. Our room was large, and accommodated four of us very comfortably. Loved having the separate living area. Especially enjoyed having heavy drapes so no light came in until wanted - a treat in sunny Phoenix! We forgot we were near the airport - never heard an airplane take off or land - that was enjoyable!

Thank you for nice comments. It sounds like you were able to sleep in during your visit. The drapes provided darkness for you and no planes could be heard from the nearby airport. We look forward to your next visit!

Finding the main entrance was a little more difficult than I was expecting. It is not clearly marked. Especially at night.he greeting at the front desk was nice. The kids loved the complementary warm cookie that they handed out. Check in was fairly easy. On the trip to the room we discovered that the design of the hotel was an open air concept. That meant that you left the building walked out into the open air courtyard. Had to walk completely across the courtyard in the 107 degree heat with 70% humidity to get to the elevator. Once you were in the elevator you were able to escape the heat, but as soon as the doors opened you were back into it. The open air concept meant that the walkways to your room were also open to the air. That means that the trip from the elevator to your door was through the heat. By the time we got to our room, we were all sweating. I agree with the other reviewers in that the free breakfast was great. One of the better breakfasts we had on our trip. The staff cleared the tables promptly after people got up to leave. The room was real nice. The beds were comfortable. Price wise I think that it was just fair to average for the accommodations. I don't know if I would stay there again. With the heat of Phoenix (even late at night) the open air architecture was a issue for me.

Room Tip: Ask to get a room away from the elevator. Everyone walking to the elevator in the morning for breakf...

I am sorry to read that the hotel's open air design did not meet your expectations. Most times of the year it's great to enjoy the Phoenix sunshine. July, however, can be taxing. Please stay with us again when the weather cools.

All in all, the Double Tree Suites by Hilton are a class above for rooms and service. My wife and I had a great experience in the Phoenix Hotel. The rooms were spacious, the services was kind and helpful, the pool was refreshing and the inclusion of free wifi and breakfast added the extra punch for a 4 star experience. I would gladly recommend you stay at a Double Tree Hotel.

My son and I just returned to Denver from our stay at the Double Tree Suites by Hilton Phoenix. The cookies provided upon arrival are always a sweet treat from the Double Tree. Our room was very spacious and nicely appointed with coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. It was so nice to have the living space apart from the bedroom in case someone wants to retire early for the night.

The beds were very comfortable and we both slept well.

The pool was a nice size and clean.

I was so amazed at the free breakfast buffet--my son never gets up for breakfast but he never missed one during our stay at the Double Tree by Hilton Phoenix. We were seated in a nice restaurant area and were treated to a variety of fruit, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, omelets, fired potatoes, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, toast, muffins, and orange juice. What a wonderful spread for breakfast at a reasonably priced hotel.

We definitely would stay at this location again. The staff was very cordial and informative. I really liked that we could print our boarding passes in the lobby next to the restaurant and there was computer access available to all guests.

Please do not hesitate to book your reservations at this location.

I'm happy to read that all went well while staying with us. You were able to take advantage of many of the benefits we offer including our famous cookies and our complimentary full breakfast buffet. Maybe you and your son can visit us when the Denver Broncos play the Arizona Cardinals in preseason (August 29th). We look forward to seeing you again soon.
