“Great place to stay, eat, and see the D'Backs”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

A ten minute walk to Chase Field and directly across the street from the Arizona Center shops, movies and great eating places. Also an easy walk to the Herberger Theater and Arizona Science Center. The District Restaurant offers great food all day.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the south side of hotel for great views.

It sounds like you had a chance to really explore and enjoy the downtown area. Our central location is perfect for that!

We’re also happy that you had a chance to dine at District and experience all that our great restaurant has to offer in the way of ambiance and food.

Thank you for taking the time to write about us. We genuinely thank you for your business.

Stayed for a one nite stay at the Sheraton Phoenix. I used Priceline and able to get the room for $95.00 before taxes. Since, the Palomar Hotel I was staying at had no vacancies for the extra night before my expected arrival.

To my surprise the Sheraton Hotel was very well kept. Being that it was owned by the City of Phoenix and with all the cut backs cities have been going through. I was leary of that being a possiblitiy. That was not the case.

The Sheraton Phoenix is centrally located and is within walking distance to cinema, shopping and convention center as well as sporting venues.

I was given a corner room on the 15th floor and had all the necessary items a room should have and was updated.

Having come in a day early for a convention. I was able to use the hotel pool area, which was an outdoor pool area with lounge/bar area. On a warm day it would not be fun. ( Bartender commmented that the Palomar Hotel had an outstanding pool/bar area which is shadded and found that to be very true).

Later that evening I wondered into the downstairs lounge/entertainment area where a small 4 piece band entertained the quest. Which we very good.

Expect to pay $20 plus for self parking and a few bucks extra for valet parking.

I did not dine at the hotel. but found that their a plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

I would suggest;

Breakfast : The Breakfast Club at CityScape just about 4 blocks from hotel. Next to Hotel Paomar.

Lunch: Pizzeria Bianco at 623 E. Adams in the old section of town behind the convention center.

Dinner: Thai Basil 114 W Adams Street. Corner building.

Again, for a City Owned Hotel. The Sheraton is a good hotel to choose.

Room Tip: I would ask for a coner room with a view of the Baseball and Basketball Venues.

I stayed at the Sheraton on March 23-26, 2013 for a convention across the street. the location was ideal but they really gouged us on the room rate...$299 plus $39.68 in local taxes......and NO Internet included!!!
They wanted and additonal $14.99 per day for that service.
It was nice but.... not that expensive nice!

This hotel is right downtown within walking distance to many restaurants as well as Chase Field and US Airways Center. It is also very easy to drive to many other destinations in the surrounding areas. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. The pool is located n the 4th floor and did get sun most of the afternoon. They serve food and drinks poolside so that made it even better. I would stay here again!

I stay a lot at the Sheraton in downtown Phoenix, on business trips. The hotel is modern; the staff is efficient (and unfailingly friendly); and the overall experience creates a no-hassle stay. For me the location is ideal; but keep in mind that even though downtown Phoenix is becoming more of a place, it's still nothing like a downtown by most urban standards.

Because I have to frequently add or change dates, and because my employer has made a deal with the hotel, I deal with the staffers who work with such clients. Haley Price, who works for the Sheraton (and the local Westin) and handles these bookings, is quick to respond to my requests.

The restaurant is above average for a hotel, at least in the US outside a few bigger cities' top hotels. Room service extra charges add up quickly, I should mention.

The exercise facility is amazing unless it's crowded (rare in my experience).

For Platinum customers, the lounge on the 28th floor offers a breakfast and afternoon snacks. The breakfast could be improved (no hot food, and the fruit could have more variety), but it's more than adequate.

Lovely to hear…We will also be sure to pass your comments along to Haley, so that she is aware she is a big contributing factor to your visits being so comfortable and enjoyable.

We of course want you to be able to focus on your business at hand and leave the rest of the details of your business trip(s) to us! It’s also great to hear that you retain some daily control in your business travel by utilizing our great fitness center programmed by Core Performance.

We greatly appreciate your business and we are looking forward to seeing you the next time.

My niece recently got married and I booked rooms for my out of town family though the reservations agent HALEY PRICE. With my full time job, Haley was like my personal assistant and worked hard so I didnt have to!! She was AWESOME! The stay was perfect for all being that the Sheraton tower is beautifully seen from miles away and is smack dab in the middle of downtown! It's walking distance to Chase Field and great restaurants, but you dont have to leave the Sheraton to find wonderful dining - The District Restaurant has outstanding food, service and ambiance!! The Director of operations, Mr. BRADY LAMAR, was very helpful in arranging a private room in the restautant so our wedding party can enjoy the grand breakfast buffet, that's under $20, all together. It was a 5-Star experience and we will definately rebook!!!

There is nothing like a family occasion for a special celebration, and how proud we are that the Sheraton Phoenix will always be a part of your beautiful memories of that occasion!

We are so happy to hear that you had such an exceptional experience and that you enjoyed District restaurant so much. We are very fortunate to have such a dynamic and creative culinary team. You were able to sample the American Harvest Table buffet so I know you can relate.

Thank you for choosing us and thank you for including us in your special celebration.

We only had one night in this hotel after a flight from LAX to Phoenix, before leaving for Sedona the next day. Everything was beautiful in this hotel! We were able to get a great rate through AAA, which included a pass to the Club Lounge and free WiFi. The lounge was open for coffee, tea, fruit, cold water, sodas, 24 hours a day, as well as a beautiful continental breakfast every morning. The breakfast pastries were bakery fresh--not out of a cellophane wrapper! The coffee was great, also offered an espresso machine for cappuccinos, lattes, etc. The room was spotless, quiet, great mattress and luxurious linens. It looked like a great shopping complex with movie theaters across the street. We did not have a chance to check out the lap pool or gym--wished we had more time there!

Room Tip: Upper room had nice city view and Club Lounge is an added bonus if you can get it.

Well if you have to leave us after only one night, going to Sedona is a great reason. We hope you enjoyed our beautiful red rock country!

We are delighted that everything was so perfect for your brief stay with us and next time, you must stay longer and explore our beautiful 4th floor with its lap pool and new Breeze Bar, where the sunsets are quite beautiful, and of course the rest of the downtown area.

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
