“Small venue, Good seating and sound”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

Saw the musical review Ain't Misbehaving. The performance was very good with excellent singers. The venue is small, we were 4 rows from the back, but we still had a great view and the sound system was extremely good. The theater has fairly comfortable seating but, wish the cup holders would have been placed differently kept banging my knees.

“Great quality, affordable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We like Phoenix Theatre because there are no bad seats. The sound quality is good. They do an excellent job on their sets for such a small theatre, and, of course the shows are good. Some of the larger theaters get bigger shows, but the sound & seating is not nearly as good.

“Nice designed small theatre with good production values”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2013

Went to see "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" production, first time at this theatre. Wonderful in its newness and great design and set up on the interior. Quite enjoyed the set design as well as the small relatively comfortable theatre. As others have described the small bar and treats were an added bonus. Quite comfortable setting to see a production. Also enjoyed the open ceiling theatre as another reviewer described it.

“Newly Remodeled Phoenix Theater”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We have seen two plays at this theater since it was remodeled. We were in both the larger and smaller theater. You can't get a bad seat in either. Recently remodeled, it offers an intimate and relaxing venue to see current theater. The courtyard and indoor seating offer small conversation areas to converse over a drink and light dining fare. It was designed to utilize the outside area as part of the overall lobby and it is handled extremely well. It is open and comfortable. The prices for drinks and snacks is reasonable. The food offered is fresh and not the prepackaged junk offered at other venues. It is a great date or adult group outing venue. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes the will call line can be a bit tedious (come a little early), women's bathroom almost always has a bit of a line, and the courtyard area is a little noisy immediately prior to seating for the show.

“NIce theatre with good productions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

I saw "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and it was an excellent production. It theatre shares a parking lot with the Art Museum, so if you're going on a night that has events in both venues, arrive early to get a parking spot.
