“Awesome views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Great place for a little picnic at sundown to see the sunset and city lights come on. Unfortunately the smog limits the view and clouds moved in both nights we were there so the sunset was not that great. The area is very nice with lots of places to sit and you can see the whole valley from there. Great family place

what a neat park at the doorstep to such a large city. Well worth spending some time at. I only had a few hours so went to the top of the mountain over look and watched the sunset! NICE

“Take the easy way - drive up”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Having visited Phoenix for 20+ years, we only just discovered South Mountain and its superb view of the city & valley. I can't speak for anyone walking up but the drive takes 10 mins, its free and the views well worth it.

Takes you back in time. The Saguaro's are humongus! Don't forget to see Scorpion Gulch there! I am a Native and this place is always new to me!

“What a Gem !”

Thank you, City of Phoenix, for such amazing protected places.
This was a spectacular find, but hard to locate. Take your GPS
phone or a very good map. Be prepared to hike up some steep
trails. Respect the elders and the traditions that precede you
here. Leave no trace and disturb no rocks.
