Husband and I just spent 3 nights in Pheonix and had the pleasure of staying at Zenyard. Eddie and Dale are wonderful hosts: so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Over their delicious and healthy breakfasts, they offered us great conversation, solid advice about travel in AZ, and a plethora of restaurant/bar recommendations. So much thought has gone into every detail of Zenyard, from the tranquil outdoor spaces to the stylish yet homey interior. We definitely felt at home in every sense. Any future stay in Pheonix will be dependent on Zenyards availability. Keep up the great work Eddie and Dale!

After a along haul flight from the UK all we wanted was a cool, calm, quiet and friendly place to rest our heads. Dale and Eddie provided that in spades at the Zenyard. Really easy and quick to find from Skyharbour, we were delighted to be greeted with tea and cool water and the knowledge that we had arrived somewhere we felt instantly at home.

Dale and Eddie were friendly and knowledgeable hosts and provided us with a smashing breakfast to start our trip.

The grounds were lovely and I only wish we had had time to swim and enjoy the tubs.

Tiny downsides - bed not the most comfy and the room we were in felt a little unloved (a bit like a spare room at a relatives). Clean and had all we needed, just some odd knick knacks around the shelves. Also, an old dirty shower curtain had been left in the shower tray - simply not cleared away when a new one had been put on - but not ideal way to start the day.

Neighbourhood safe And calm with a decent bar I walking distance. We will definitely stay there again.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my business trip. I love staying at B&B's instead of hotels and this was a perfect one! I had a lot of work to do on my computer, and this place was so quiet and peaceful - allowed me to get everything done. Eddie and Dale were perfect hosts and even recommended an awesome Italian place for dinner. The only regret is I didn't pack my swimsuit! Their pool was so inviting. The place was clean, tidy, and had everything that you would want. HIGHLY recommend this for anyone traveling through.

and it's the only place we'd consider staying in Phoenix after spending three nights there. Eddie and Dale are great hosts and fine people. The grounds are quiet and relaxing with pool and hot tubs, several sitting areas, one with a fire pit. A natural setting in the midst of suburban blah. The bed in the Cowboy Casita is very comfortable and it's perhaps the more private of the rooms. The breakfasts are great with several choices you select the evening before. If you prefer a more traditional experience you might find the Zen Yard not to your taste, but if you're willing to take it as it is it a wonderful place to arrive, stay, depart.

Eddie and Dale have it going on. We found their location in Phoenix convenient from the airport, in fact when we arrived at midnight Eddie was waiting up for us. He also gave us some great advice for travel arrangements beyond their home as we made our way north. Breakfast was among the best we've ever had at a B & B, especially since I have gluten allergies and I had more options than anywhere else we've been. Keep up the good work guys.

Due to my bad map reading we had a bit of a problem finding Zen Yard, but once we had we were delighted!
'Jerome' had it's own patio area, and we had our first taste of the Hummingbirds that we had come to see in Arizona. the dining area had all the tea and coffee you could ever need, and an honesty box for the beer, wine and soda's. Breakfast was freshly cook and a little bit different from other B and B's we've stayed in. Dale and Eddie are a delighful couple and ready ro ehlp in any way. If you need a stopover after a flight don't bother with an airport hotel, go to Zen Yard.

My wife and I were visiting from Boston, aiming to wind down after a week of visiting with family, hiking, attending a wedding, then here on a Sunday and Monday "off" before going home. My wife found this place on Trip Advisor, it looked funky-interesting, so here's where we stayed.

Hospitality is difficult. Zenyard's Dale and Eddie, though, are masters of the craft. They have created this space, a plot in uptown Phoenix, carved into a couple of detached cottages, plus a couple of rooms in the main house, manicured to a "T", surrounded by calm. Lots of statues, running water, hot tubs - all in a walled compound. Hummingbird feeders abound attracting the lovely birds. Lots of birdsong is heard during the day.

Your hosts are as unobtrusive or as present as you want them to be. You are asked to complete menu preferences the night before and place on the common bar area. Eddie prepares a wonderful breakfast. He also quickly answers text messaged questions.

There's a laudromat nearby. Good restaurant options within a half-mile. Public transit about a mile away with convenient free parking.

We have experienced fine hospitality before, and this was among the finest.

Room Tip: We chose the "cowboy casita" for its private kitchen, bath and hot tub. Our accommodation...
