I've stayed at this property multiple times for work while in Phoenix. The facilities and rooms were clean and the property was quiet. Plus, the staff was friendly and always helpful. From a $$ standpoint, you can’t get any better. Yes, they don’t include internet, dishes or anything like that in the price, but the price can’t be beat. These items are always available to purchase if I need them. I’d rather pay for it if I want it then pay for everyone else’s if I don’t use it. I bought an affordable dish pack that I was able to keep for spare stuff if I ever need it. The internet was pretty good...comparable to most hotels I have stayed.

For the price you can’t beat the value anywhere around. Keep in mind, this isn’t the Hilton so it shouldn’t be judged in that category.

With some what misgivings, knowing the PHX area, I rented here, the Live-on site security has been here 3+years, maint (MIKE) 1+ years, Lance in the office, will forewarn you of upcomming rate changes, so you can get the best deal!...(best by the month!)...with internet and tax (refunded after 30 days!)...less than $22 a day, lots of parking! only a few hundred feet from off site laundry, 3 gas stations, Fry's(major market), Smart & Final (great food prices), Food City, lots of fast food!!, barbers, Waldreens, Autozone....etc.....easy access to I-10, not heavy traffic....and Great mountain views, both sides of Bldg!.......This is a basic studio apt,(other sizes avaible) yes, you can buy their basic stuff, or go to Super Walmart, (4 miles away), and buy all you'll ever need for $75, staff will give you supplies every 2 weeks during cleaning, just leave a note if your working!.....AND just so you know, I'm a skilled construction tradesman who has live in The Value Place's in Peoria,AZ (twice), DesMoines,IA, and Corpus Cristi,TX, also lived in Budget Suites, and others, I travel and work large Construction jobs, wether it's a corporate or franchaised Value Place, their standard's are always the same......bob

Room Tip: 4th floor is for smokers, but quiet!, A lot less sunny/hot on north side, south side is sunny/near freeway...Noise??.... great mountain views both sides, no security problems given it's location.....coin, not card operated laundry but small, I go due north to a larger less busy/cheaper place.......but handy if you need it....even for small families a good short term option!

Relocated to Phoenix area and needed a rental for a week. These weekly rental type places give you the VERY basics for a very low price ie. 1 roll of toilet paper. There is a kitchen with full refrigerator/freezer but if you want dishes, utensils, etc it's all extra. As is a coffee maker, extra linen service (room gets cleaned once every other week). The $10 a week internet is basically unusable. You get a platform bed with a 10-12" firm mattress. CRT Flatscreen TV with a decent number of channels. You can tell the construction of these places is very cheap as well. If someone walks in the room above you, you can hear every footstep. If someone runs or falls your walls shake. In the morning you can hear the hot water pipes expanding and contracting in the walls. If you stay at these places just be prepared that you're not getting a Hilton type hotel room. The staff is VERY friendly but they are only there during the day and not on Sundays. There is someone on staff 24 hours BUT if you say forget your card it's $10 for them to let you in after hours. It's a decent place to stay just be forewarned as to the drawbacks of staying in this type of a place. If you brought your own pot/pans/etc and stayed on the top floor you could stay at this place for a while but other than that one week is enough. Everything is extra.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room on the top floor and bring toilet paper.

Value place seems to promise a clean room, and they deliver on that. The parking lot is pretty small and fills up with trailers. Don't forget to take a roll of toilet paper because they provide one for the week stay.

The price is worth it though. I spent a week in Phoenix, at the Value Place on McDowell for the price of 2 nights in budget motels in the same area. I'll spring for the little things and the parking issues for a clean, quiet place in the sun

Room Tip: Book early
