We took the Scottsdale /Phoenix City highlights tour. Rick, our guide, made the tour interesting and very informative. I would recommend this to those wanting to know more about the history and sites of the area.

“A very long day, but we saw the Grand Canyon”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

This tour takes roughly 13 hours to complete. It was much better than renting a car, and making the drive in a day. Our guide was interesting and informative. The only changes I would make would be to shorten the time in Sedona (mostly touristic shops) as well as the Navajo trading post (All touristic trinkets), and arrive back to Phoenix maybe an hour earlier. All in all, it is a great way to see the canyon without driving your self.

“Fantastic experience with Les, our driver and guide”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Like many, we considered renting a car and driving to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Lucky for us, we came across Detours, which was recommended through our hotel (JW Marriott Desert Ridge). Two stops in Sedona, three stops at the Grand Canyon, and a final stop at a Navaho indian reservation. Les, our driver and tour guide, was extremely well versed on a variety of topics. He was especially knowledgable about the Indian culture. He was quite strong on his facts and we noticed many other nearby tourists would intently listen to his comments about various aspects of the Grand Canyon. We had plenty of rest stops during the drive. The lunch was fantastic. And I know my wife appreciated having a professional drive through the passes along curvy mountain roads often devoid of guardrails. We never felt rushed. At $155.00 including lunch and drinks, this excursion is well worth it!

We appreciate your good review. It pleases us to hear that you greatly enjoyed your trip. Les is one of our best guides and is very versed and knowledgeable of the Grand Canyon and with the Navajo Nation. We are lucky to have such a great guide and are glad that he made your tour an even better trip. Next time you are in Arizona. you should join us on a Tombstone tour and learn about the old west in the town that is too tough to die.

“Day Tour to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix area”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

This was a great value for the money. If you have a family or group of people; this is a great way to enjoy the entire trip to the Grand Canyon. William, our "Tour Master" was perfect for everyone aboard...plus a great guy to have around!

“Wonderful day at the Grand Canyon and Sedona”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

This was definitely money well spent. We were picked up at our hotel by Bruce at 7:15 a.m. and off we went. Saw the beautiful Sedona area before leaving for the Grand Canyon. Lunch on the bus was a bit challenging, but delicious - and it comes with the price of your ticket. Would definitely recommend.
