“Not worth the raves it gets”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2010

We started out with a fork crusted with previous diner's food. The chicken parmesan was of a nice size and fairly tasty, but the tomato sauce was just like the one you buy in a can. The other dish was the chicken with linguini in an Alfredo sauce. The sauce was very bland, and there were only about 10 tiny strips of chicken in it. What a disappointment -- the canned Alfredo sauce tastes better than the one here! The waitress forgot to get our coffee, and after the first course of salad, she made us wait 20 minutes for the main course. The prices were too high for a very meager dish of pasta and chicken which was nearly tasteless. We';ll not go back again. Poor service and food.

“Fantastic food in an unassuming place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2010

Such a nice surprise. The chef has been 'classically' trained and has chosen Payson as his home....lucky for Payson and those who come to eat dinner here. The food was well prepared, reasonable in price, and topped with the most delicious sauces.

“4th July Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2010

Went to Gerardo's for dinner as it was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel. Restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately. Waitress was attentive even though she was really busy. We had the special which was seafood linguini & split it. The meal comes with bread & salad. We ended with Tiramisu which was pretty good & huge - enough for 3. Overall meal was very nice & bill came to $50 for 2 for 1 main course, 2 wines, salad+ bread, desert & tip. We were complety full & satisfied.
A special note the house Chardonnay was excellent.

“The wives like it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2009

This passes for upscale Italian food in Payson.
Wife liked it, and I paid for it. I prefer mass quantities over "cuisine". so I ate a lot of bread to get stuffed. I take the Queen there for special occasions, and it works like a charm.
Nuff said.
