The chef/owner has been schooled and has worked as a chef all around the world (check out the Web site before you go at gerardosbistro.com. The restaurant really is all about food and wine. Even though that may seem to be true with all eateries it really is not. At Gerardo's it is. We stepped in and was not overtaken by people welcoming us, opening doors, asking us how we feel, and all of those superficial things. Instead, we got a chance to come in, stop and look around, and take in the wonderful cooking aromas, interesting awards, and signage. Immediately we saw the chef cooking in the kitchen and delivering up delicious looking pizzas. The place was busy for a Saturday afternoon. Our table was comfortable and the service was good. I appreciated that they brought olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as the pizza combo of parmesan, oregano, and pepper flakes. ALL ingredients were super fresh and favorable, of fine quality. I got the veggie pizza on whole wheat crust and it was LOADED with yummy veggies--very healthful. They do a great job. Enjoy!
