“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2011

Based on other Trip Advisor reviews, we stopped by Gerardo's Bistro for lunch. The restaurant did not disappoint. The lasagna was an excellent choice--about as good as I have found--and the portion was sizable and priced right. My wife had similar comments about the Mac and Cheese. The service was quick and attentive. Based on the visit, I would highly recommend.

“Benvenuto! mangiare! buon appetito!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2011

Payson, of all places, has a first rate Italian restaurant worth the trip - in addition to the pines, the rim, and the weather. The food is richly flavored but not richly priced. I enjoyed all of it -- from the salmon chowder, to the linguini in clam sauce. Everything was wonderfully prepared and promptly served. Better than the average Italian restaurant you'll find throughout the valley, and outdoor seating to boot!

“Very good Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2011

The service was good, food was fantastic and the ambiance quiet enough for conversation and an enjoyable meal. Love the brick oven pizza and home made Minestrone soup! We will be back.

“Wow where do i begin and how did this...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2010

Wow where do i begin and how did this place get 4 and a half stars? Smells like the emplolyees that work there are reviwing this resturant instead of customers who they ripped off. First off this place is a damn joke it's no italian resturant it's a wanna be secondly the food sucks and it's over priced. Third and lastly the waitresses are rude and unnapreciative of tips. This was my first and last time i'll never go to this place ever again. Save yourself money and time and avoid this place at all cost.

“Not worth the raves it gets”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2010

We started out with a fork crusted with previous diner's food. The chicken parmesan was of a nice size and fairly tasty, but the tomato sauce was just like the one you buy in a can. The other dish was the chicken with linguini in an Alfredo sauce. The sauce was very bland, and there were only about 10 tiny strips of chicken in it. What a disappointment -- the canned Alfredo sauce tastes better than the one here! The waitress forgot to get our coffee, and after the first course of salad, she made us wait 20 minutes for the main course. The prices were too high for a very meager dish of pasta and chicken which was nearly tasteless. We';ll not go back again. Poor service and food.
