“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

My son and I had a wonderful breakfast there! We sat by the huge window overlooking the airport and rim and got to watch the late winter snowfall! He had the biscuits and gravy he said that they were so delicious and the gravy was very flavorful and I have the eggs Benedict which were amazing. I usually only like the eggs Benedict at Mimi's café but this certainly was just as wonderful. Wish they had different choices for different kinds of eggs Benedict but the traditional was definitely good and the service could not have been any better. Our server was very nice and attentive and there were other a couple teenagers there helping out as well that were very nice and seemed happy to be there and happy to help it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience! We will be back again soon! We have tried pretty much all the local cafés and diners and this is the best! We have a vacation home here in Payson and we'll be back the next time we are in town!

“Fun Food, Fun 50's Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

By all means - stop over at the Crosswinds Cafe at the airport whenever you are in Payson. On a clear day, the planes are entertaining, and even on a rainy one ( when we were last there), it is a nostalgic reminder of a no frills, fun 50's diner. Food is "down-home", simple fare, done very well. Breakfast is great, as are the dinner specials.. The "fish-fry" Fridays are excellent. Again, no frills- just simple good food. But, where else can you get a complete fish fry dinner, with a home-made piece of delicious pie to complete the meal....for a very reasonable price, with friendly service ? At prime times, expect a crowd or go early. It's worth it !

“good for Payson”

The spaghetti here was pretty good considering the price and prevailing mediocrity of the competition .

“Airport restaurant with great views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

Turn left at the first traffic circle going north out of Payson, AZ on Rt87 and you'll see the airport on your right. The restaurant has a commanding view of the rim and you can watch the planes take off. We rode up from the "Valley" (Scottsdale/Phoenix/Mesa area also know as hotternhell) on Harleys with about 25 other people for breakfast. The coffee is good, the food is good, the prices are fair, the view is magnificent. Staffed with very friendly people, this is a recommended stop for anyone with some time to linger a bit and take in the scenery and a good meal. The place was packed so it took a little while to get our food, but only because of the volume of business. The eggs Benedict are great.

“"Home of the Million Dollar View"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

We eat here every weekend we are in the area. Fast service, so usually there is not a long wait. Just good home cooking, nothing fancy here. Great pies - you can get them to take home. The view is worth the trip. Their menu title says it all.
