Owner description: Buckskin Mountain State Park commands one of the finest views along the Parker strip, an 18-mile stretch between Parker Dam and Headgate Dam. Mountains line the river on both the Arizona and California sides, and the wildlife is as varied as the recreational opportunities along the river. This picturesque park provides a scenic respite, mountain hikes, a desert escape and fun-filled water adventure. Come enjoy all the park has to offer. The park has a campground, cabana sites, beach, hiking trails, boat ramp, picnic area, basketball and volleyball court, playground, restaurant, park store, arcade and gas dock.

What a nice campground! The staff is on top of every detail in this park as well as being friendly and helpful. There's two sandy beaches, with one being dog friendly, some great hiking trails and a child's playground area with quality equipment and real grass. The campground is about 50-50 lawn or gravel along with some huge shade trees at many of the campsites. It has a full service store with a cafe, gift shop and arcade and has both dockside and ramp-top fueling. It's unfortunate that the store is closed during the cooler months though. This stretch of the C R is about as scenic as it gets plus the boat watching from shore can't be beat. Also worth mentioning is the better than average tent camping and day use areas.

Buckskin Mountain is one of the nicest campgrounds you'll ever find. It is located right on the beautiful Colorado River. All of the camp sites are very spacious and easily to access. All sites have water and electric and some have sewer. There is a dump site inside the campground and it too, is easily accessible. This wonderful campground was introduced to me by a co-worker ten years ago and I have been visiting Buckskin Mountain at least once a year ever since. Enjoy!
