From the moment we got out of e can, we knew is place was something special.
The grounds are so breathtaking, you feel like you are on a movie set. The staff are all nice and friendly, and the amenities are fantastic. They have a 24 hour pool and gym, and water stations throughout the property to keep hydrated in the desert heat. Golf course range was nice and again, shuttle service convenient and friendly staff. I can't wait to plan my next stay at Camelback!

Room Tip: We've just stayed in one room, it's near the pool and by, which was convenient for us.

The Camelback at Scottsdale is a luxury hotel fully integrated with golfing. It is very well equipped with all the amenities you would expect of a five star resort, including sizable swimming pool, tennis courts, restaurants, bars, two 18 hole golf courses, you name it. So it's great whether you're there for pure relaxation, something more athletic and sporting, or for one of the many business conferences and meetings that are held there.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and it's good overall value.

This hotel is beautiful, We stayed in a mini apartment where you really get the desert feel. Pool is beautiful with great mountain view, service is spectacular and food was delicious.
Breakfast is a little bit pricey but it is really worth it, they have a great variety and everything was delicious!!
Checkin was easy and fast, our room was great, clean and well decorated.
We had dinner at their steak restaurant and food was also amazing.
I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again

Beautiful property, great amenities, and tremendous views! The front desk was exceptional, going out of their way to give advise and correct a self-inflicted (by me) billing issue.

Rooms are slightly above average. I'd easily stay here again.

The grounds are simply gorgeous and perfectly manicured. The check-in was easy and staff were accommodating.

The rooms came up way short. I was in one of the pueblo looking rooms that seem like a string of motel 6 rooms arranged in a horseshoe. They aren't much different inside. The carpet is industrial and super cheap and dirty feeling. The room feels very dated and uninviting, linens are fresh, but furniture is mismatched and it feels very cheap.

Room service was prompt and average in taste. Housekeeping was responsive and freshened the room and towels. My room had two sinks, one in with the tub/shower and toilet, the other outside, which might benefit some people. The closet felt cramped. The cabinets were worked and showed evidence of previous water damage. There was also evidence of mildew in the shower, which may have contributed to the smell. All in all, a massive renovation would help bring the interior in parallel with the exterior.

The poolside area was active and attendants were present with samples and drinks when ordered.

I the grounds of this facility are luxurious. The rooms are not at all. For breakfast, the juevos rancheros are really yummy!

Room Tip: Not sure where the good rooms are.

I was disappointed when I first checked in to our room - the bathroom is very small and dated and while the resort is situated on a beautiful property with stunning views throughout our patio view was the doors of other rooms. However, it didn't take long to thaw my disappointment. Definitely more to love than to complain about.

Pros:
- Property is absolutely stunning
- Restaurants had great vegetarian options
- Spa pool is luxurious, relaxing, quiet and service is outstanding (someone brought me ice water and kept it full and chilled the entire time I was out there)
- Main pool is family friendly (as such it is loud) but service was nice. Staff frequently brough around complimentary fruit.
- Live music every evening by the bar and restaurants made for great ambiance for drinks, dinner
- Ample open seating outside, doesn't require reservations or waiting in line. We sat outside in the evenings with our cocktails, chatting, and catching the live music. In the mornings it was a nice spot to drink coffee and read a book.
- Starbucks on property
- Comfortable bed and pillows, and I didn't hear a single sound outside our room at night - great night's sleep.

Cons
- The Spa was jam packed. I had to stand around just waiting while people all around me changed before I could get to my locker every time I needed it because there were so many people and we all seemed to have lockers in the same spot.
- The spa has only basic services, nothing particularly interesting.
- Bathrooms in the rooms are tiny and dated. The wood and tile look like they are from the 70s. The tub wall is high to step into, the bottom is slippery, the shower is very narrow, with a flimsy little shower curtain that was anything but luxurious.

Room Tip: Rooms near the restaurants will be louder but might have nicer views, rooms on the outer perimeter o...

We stayed at the Camelback Resort by Marriott for a wedding.

The best man was startled when he had a rattlesnake in his room. He noticed it when he was going to the bathroom late in the evening. Luckily no one was bitten. Staff quickly came and removed the snake.

The resort is nice and the service exceptional, bathrooms are dated, and the layout is confusing as the rooms/buildings stretch over a large area.

Thanks for the review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We apologize about the rattlesnake, that is definitely frightening! But we are glad we were able to take care of the issue quickly. We agree that our bathrooms are dated, which is why we are currently undergoing a complete Guestroom Bathroom renovation that will be done in October. We hope you can come back to visit us and check it out!
