The casitas were awesome and could not ask for better service. Great restaurant and spa!!! We will definitely return. Pricey but worth every penny. A little slice of heaven in the dessert. Would recommend to all

Room Tip: Try for a casita higher on mountain for best views

We booked a four night long weekend due to the good reviews and decided we would even splurge on a spa suite the first 2 nights because all other room categories were booked. Well, our $700 spa suite was next to a parking lot, so the room had a parking lot view and the porch had no privacy. It didn't help that when we arrived there was a huge corporate event throughout the hotel with groups of people playing bonding-type games (including a bouncy house and rock climbing wall in the parking lot next to our suite). That wasn't exactly what we had in mind when booking a trip to "Sanctuary."

The corporate group eventually left but we still decided to downgrade out of our suite after the first night because the cable tv didn't work and the air conditioning unit made banging sounds throughout the night. We are now staying in a mountain casita for around $500 which has no soundproofing from the adjacent room. Last night the people next door were watching "Lincoln" on tv until midnight and we could hear it almost as if it were in our room. Tonight it's more of the same. I told the front desk and they said all mountain casitas have the same sound problem.

Obviously it's disappointing to pay these rates and have to deal with these issues.

We had a great room with a wonderful view of the mountains and the sunset. The room was large and had a fireplace which was great for a cool evening. The restaurant was outstanding as usual with Chef Beau there. Everyone was very professional and the staff was very helpful. I would defienitely reccommend for a romantic getaway.

We had a lovely time in a great spa suite room. The room was awesome with great amenities. The only negative in room 101 was the decks were not as private as I would have liked. They were adjacent to the roadway with a fair amount of foot traffic walking by your room. The food at Elements was so delicious and innovative that we indulged every night of our stay. Plus they had lots of choices for vegetarians. Another plus was a great cocktail and wine list. So all of our needs were met. The spa was fabulous. The gym and yoga classes were great as well. Nice enjoyable quiet getaway.

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Sanctuary and wished we could stay longer. I loved the individual casita style accommodations. We were able to have dinner in Elements and drinks at Jade...I so wish I had time to enjoy the Spa. I can't wait to come back and enjoy all the resort has to offer!

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Sanctuary. It is aptly named, it is really wonderful. From the moment you arrive, the bellmen greet you, by the time you get to reception they greet you by name. The rooms are lovely, and the views phenomenal. Elements restaurant is amazing, delicious breakfasts, sumptuous dinners. Lunch by the pool was great as well. The spa is great with a large variety of services and very experienced, talented therapists. Everyone is so friendly, it is just a lovely place to stay. One highlight of this trip was my non swimming husband took a lesson with Olympic gold medalist Misty Hyman, and she had him doing the crawl in one lesson. A very cool once in a lifetime experience. If you are in the Phoenix area, it is the place to stay.

Room Tip: The end room have the best views
