What a quaint, warm Inn! We were the only guest in the hotel on this Sunday evening. A A very pet friendly hotel with impeccably clean rooms. I was just in awe at the fact that we checked in after closing. They leave a key in a designated place for you and you let yourself in the hotel. Reminds me of midwest hospitality... Trusting, warm, friendly!!Such a warm and inviting entrance! Can't wait to visit in the winter and sit by the massive fireplace. We also visited the Steak Out which is right next door. In the past, it has been hit and miss with service and food but the last two visits I have had the best service and the best filet I have EVER had. Some may say a bit expensive but my steak was well worth the drive from Tucson!! What a great experience!! Thanks Fazila!!

IT is a B & B and it has come a long way from those old reviews shown on this site. There is a Steak House next door called the STEAKOUT and there is also one in Dove Mountain .They are great! VERY GOOD !
The Sonita Inn does have a package for a Inn Room, bottle of wine and $50.00 steakOut Credit next door for Food. The Inn had 24hour snacks and a nice selection of Continental Breakfast items. The room was cozy and Western with a small TV with good cable.Fireplace was nice and there were cheese and crackers as well as teas and fruit drinks .Help yourself 24/7.It is True Kate does leave and you have a front door key and a key for your room. She also has plans for local winery to host tastings this spring.Over all it was VERY Nice but not a resort or Deluxe.nice clean ,friendly and most of all relaxing.
TRIP ADVISORS NEEDS TO MOVE THIS LISTING TO A B& B. 3 STARS

The website make this place look like a luxurious retreat. But the place was SHABBY! It was on par with a Motel 6 and the worse thing it was $140 per night. This was on a Monday night and there were only 2 other guests in the hotel. There is no staff on site after 5pm. The Continental Breakfast was horrible - no water available and flies all over the place. I don't mind paying for a nice hotel but this was terrible. View the pictures I posted. Very disappointed.

Nothing special, would probably not return to dine at their restaurant. Food was not flavorful, the meat was a bit dry and chewy, iceberg lettuce salads....although generous pours of wine.

The inn had a nice ambiance, however the following was present in my room upon my late night check-in: dirt on the floor, some trash left in the nightstand and folded towels in the bathroom that were "soiled".

The walls in the rooms are very thin and you can hear every conversation from the adjoining rooms. The front door of the inn was also in need of repair and made a loud sound everytime someone entered. This is not conducive to a restful night's sleep.

The only time there is someone available at the desk to report these problemns to is between 8am and 5 pm, so if you have plans to leave your room early and get back after dinner you are on your own.

I tried their coffee at many different times throughout the day (including the mornings) and never found it anything but luke warm and in need of some time in the microwave.

The good news is none of my belongings got stolen.

The inn is a safe and affordable place to stay, but is about par to the low-budget interstate motel chains.
