“The West was won by cowboys and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2012

The surroundings are the old west at its best including John Wayne photos and my personal highlight, a magnificent poster of Tom Mix. The food is diverse for western country food and the portions are huge and tasty. The drinks are fully loaded and worth the effort to drink them. The server was top notch and went overboard to make our lunch memorable. I think her name is Rosie and she has dark hair, small in size and is pretty in addition to being very accommodating. A great return experience. Ask around and there are interesting tales to be heard especially about the "lost mine with the iron door.

“Not heart healthy...............:(”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2012

If you're hungary, and not too particular, then you can get plenty of food for a reasonable price. Just don't tell your doctor. No Iron Chefs in this kitchen. Meat, potatoes and gravy. If you are interested in "heart healthy" food, don't bother. Seems the bar business must carry this place, and it's swinging. Lots of folks dressed up like cowboys and girls, some real and most imagined. If you're local, and you don't want to drive 25 or 30 miles for a good meal, then this is your place, but stay away from the calamari (squid), which borders on awful. Stick to the red meat, and hope for the best.

Very good menu and quality of food.
Good value for the high quality.
Atmosphere a bit lacking, but not anything that you wouldn't have expected.
Hostess/waiter very friendly and helpful with info about the area and things to do.

“Great steaks and service in the middle of nowhere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2012

After driving in total darkness without seeing humanity for 20 minutes we discovered the small town of Oracle and stopped for dinner at the Inn. The outdoor eating area was so smoke filled we ate inside. The steak I had was excellent and perfectly prepared. The service was great as well. A good choice.

“Well Worth the Trip to this Historical Town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2011

After enjoying the community play in Oracle, AZ we stopped at the family run Oracle Inn for dinner. This restaurant is very popular with out-of-town folks, as are the community plays. This evening it seemed everyone who had been at the play had decided to follow it up with dinner at Oracle Inn. Although the place was jammed we were able to enjoy a normal conversation with our dinner because the acoustics are good and there is no music to shout over.
The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The menu offers 4 – 6 dinner selections of appetizers, meats, poultry, seafood, kids’meals, soup/sandwiches and desserts. All entrees come with a salad and a choice of two sides in addition to a freshly baked small loaf of bread with butter at the beginning of the meal. Once a month a special German menu is also offered with about 8 selections, subject to change each month
We have enjoyed this restaurant several times in the past few years and it remains our favorite Oracle restaurant.
I love the Blackened Salmon and usually order this. However, this time I ordered Pork Spare Ribs. They were very tender and fell right off the bones, however they were a bit dry, the sauce was nothing special and it was difficult to avoid dealing with the grizzle. Our daughter ate the leftovers next day and said “The spare ribs reek.” I would have to agree with her. My husband ordered the very tender Southwestern Hot Steak which he loves. I tasted it and, even though I am not a steak eater, I plan to order it next time. The green chilis and the tenderness of the steak made this a mouth-watering choice. The salad was fresh and served with a small chilled cup of dressing. The house Merlot from the Sonoma Valley was very good.
At the end of our meal the owner approached our table to ask if we had enjoyed our meal and to offer us a 10% discount because we had been to the community play. Our meal for two, including the two drinks we had in the lounge area before dinner and including the 10% discount totaled just under $60.
